3 finger beige head, rosewood-coloured body. Nose: Malt, nuts, Madeira, caramel and brown sugar. Taste: Nutty notes, malt, dark bread, oranges, caramel, a hint of Madeira, brown sugar and a slight hint of resin and pine. Semi-long ending with some bitterness

A rare beast from the brewery shop. A proper winter warmer for beer lovers outside the UK. No head and a lovely dark colour. The flavour and mouthfeel were all about the malt and the bitter hops. There was some sweetness lurking in the background, but it was perfectly integrated. This is a lovely beer and I have no idea why it is not available in the UK outside the brewery shop.

God, spændende engesk strong ale. Masser af fylde og velsmag. Tilpas med bitterhed og sødme.

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2017 Dark copper, clear. Aroma has malt, caramel and nuts. Taste follows the same line, quite dry, ending in moderate bitterness.

Bottle. A very pleasing ale, went down a treat. Warming and malty, caramely. Classic Fuller's taste. Decent.

0.5 l bottle @ home. Pours mahogany with beige head. Nose is spicey and malty, taste is quite similar with some surprisingly apparent bitter hops in the finish. Light to medium body, average carbo. Not bad, but nothing extraordinary either.

Clear amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is malt, earth and grains. Taste is caramel, malt and toasted bread

Skled ubesværet og alt for raskt over drøvelen.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 30.10.17. Clear, pale copper. Off-white head. Superb aroma and taste of nuts, rosted nuts, dates, caramel and prunes. Very good!
