UPDATED: MAY 30, 2020 330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours very dark brown with tiny dark head, clear. Aroma of strong alcohol (but nice), roasted malts, toffee, raisins, hint of cola. Sweetish taste with a hint of alcohol aftertaste. Full body, thick, oily, soft carbonation. Very strong, but nicely balanced. UPDATED: FEB 7, 2020 12 oz bottle from Brewers Haven. Near black, tiny ring of brown head. Rich roasty aroma, mild sweetness, raisins. Taste is sweet, chocolate. Silky smooth with a healthy burn. The next level. This is legendary stuff. ophone (1142) - LUXEMBOURG - FEB 2, 2020
UPDATED: FEB 2, 2020 Dark brown with no head. Smell of roasted malts with strong chocolate and coconut notes. More the taste of a sweet chocolate liquor than a beer, mainly due to it's very high alcohol level and its almost inexistent carbonation. Rather syrupy with a strong alcohol flavour, but nice to sip from time to time. Christian (15606) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 9, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2020 Black with a lasting off-white head. Roasted aroma with salt licorice, chocolate, molasses and toffee. Sweet, dark flavour with licorice and molasses dominating. Warm, vineous alcohol, only slightly boozy. A bit simple and overly sweet, but a year in the cellar might improve it. bpar73 (1544) - Elk Rapids, Michigan, USA - JAN 9, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2020 Bottle. Dark brown, almost black, pour with no head. Aroma and taste of dark rich malt, smoke, and a bit boozy. DenverLogan (1802) - Burien, Washington, USA - DEC 28, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 28, 2019 One of 6 big beers on tap at the Beveridge Place Pub's Embrace the Darkness and my favorite, with milk and dark chocolate notes. Big, bold, sweet & strong and darn tasty.
