jjsint (7710) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 7, 2022
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2022 500ml bottle purchased as part of a delivery from KWM, Kilkeel, some time ago. Dark brown and translucent with a large khaki head. Chocolate fudge, peat and mint in the aroma which is light than I'd expected fora beer of this magnitude. Taste is sweet, more chocolate, molasses, pretzel and yeast extract with a gritty medicinal bitterness in the finish. Heavy carbonation hides the watery body. It's a bit strange but overall an enjoyable beer.

rumore (4467) - Rimini, ITALY - JUL 18, 2022
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2022 Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours black, with a very fine, homogeneous cream foam. Aroma is chocolate/cocoa. Body is average, slightly on the thin side, with limited carbonation. Taste is on the roasty bitter side, but more like dark chocolate/cocoa. Final is pretty long, with some induced salivation.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2022 Brown and poured with a small head. Medium body with slight traces of chocolate and coffee. What makes it stand out is that lovely barrel aged tanginess which is quite unique. Slightly sweet with some maltiness . Another good one from this brewery, and off course Ireland. .

Gangstergafje (3191) - Rotterdam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 3, 2020
UPDATED: DEC 3, 2020 03-12-2020; bottle; at home (bought at Saveur Bière). The looks of the beer are great. Amazing. I love these dark beers. The beer almost seems to be pitch black. In the light a dark brown colour can be distinguished. Nice ruby red glow too. On top there is a nice layer of almond colored foam. Foam retention is low. A minimal drape is left on the beer. All in all, looking good. The aroma of the beer is very nice. It has a lovely malty aroma. They contain nice roast aromas, toast, chocolate, some vanilla. There is a nice oaky touch too. It is very nice. There are some tobacco touches and some touches of dried fruits and some liquirice in there too. Quite nice. Hop aromas are earthy and robust, a great addition too the malt aromas. Very nice. The taste of the beer is nice too. Some nice sweet malts and a load of bitter hops and bitter roast and toast. Great. It is quite bitter, but very well balanced. There is also a very nice savory toast note. Very nice. The palate of the beer is nice too. Nice full body, smooth texture and medium carbonation. The finish is nice. Nice toasty and toasty malts, nice chocolate touch. Very nice dry ending. All in all, a very great beer. Amazing.
