Medium brown, with not much head. The aroma has a bit of brett, bit of roast, not smelling much barrel. Fairly sour, not much flavour development, vague dark malt notes. Tolerable, as sour stout goes.

Bottle - Dark soured malts. Deep brown with a decent brown head. Dar soured malts, dry finish and some sawdust. Not bad.

courtesy of fiulijn - black beer under a huge creamy beige foam; nice lace; the aroma is quite acetic with notes of roasted malts and red wine, gently woody; a fair carbonation, full-bodied, sweet and sour, gently dry and with long notes of sour cherries, wood and vinegar

Black color with medium sized frothy brownish head. Think of this as a boozy dark Sour, more than an Imperial Stout; the acidity is strong, and the astringent character not hidden at all; the body is thinner, sugars have been converted, hence it has a higher alcohol perception. Some vinegar, light fruits, luckily also a light dark bread touch.
Good beer.
Thanks for using small bottles!

330mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Nose is intensely sour, with roast, charcoal, and woody red wine notes. Flavour is quite complex, with red wine upfront, with moderate wood, and a touch of roast. Really cohesive and complex. The red wine barrels add a wonderful dimension to this. Excellent stuff.
