COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unlike many other unblended oude lambik, there exists both draft and bottled versions of De Cam Oude Lambiek.

Please note the age of the sample you are reviewing when entering your rating. While many factors determine whether you have had "Jonge" or "Oude" Lambik, a general rule of thumb is to enter 1 year-old or older lambik under "De Cam Oude Lambiek" and anything less than 6 months-old under "De Cam Jonge Lambiek".

For those between 6 and 12 months of age, you should take in to consideration the character of the lambik. Samples presenting themselves as hazy/cloudy, with some head-formation and residual sugar should be entered as "Jonge Lambik", while those that are drier, higher in clarity and with little/no head formation should be entered as "Oude Lambik".

nimbleprop (9048) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JAN 21, 2018
750ml bottle, 2012 bottling. Pours a still, clear orange, no head. Sour nose, potpourri and orange peel, vegetal, some decent leathery lambic funk. Flavor has orange, cheese cloth, funk, lemon, wet wood. Finishes watery. The finish really kills it. Bad bottle.

Bottle at the DC RateBeer tasting. Slightly hazy golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of funk, hay. Tastes of funk, hay, citrus, salt. Light body with a dry finish.

Flasche laut Aufkleber L42-2016, optisch trüb. In der Nase Aprikose, Pfirsich. Im Trunk feine Säure, spritzig, mittig trocken, bitter-saurer Nachhall. Hinten nochmal fruchtig. Sehr lecker.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2018 750ml bottle at the January DC Ratebeer tasting. Bottle is 2012 vintage. Poured a fizzy, pale orange-pink color with a small white head. Aroma was some light grape, little bit of tartness. Some funky, notes. Light sweetness. Tasty, but a little thin.

Crackery grapefruit and tangerine. Amber pour. Tamgy finish. Good balance - a touch metallic like Queen. Bottle thanks to Iphonephan.

From a 75 cl bottle (bottle in 2012) at the DC RB gathering January 7, 2017. Pours a clear orange with a scant head. Pretty much zero carbonation. Aroma of basement and dank hay. Flavors are mild sour. This one probably lost something along the way. Decent but dissapointing.

Hazy, orange, no head. Sourish, acidic, white grapes, some lemon, barnyard, dry, low carbonation.

anstei (2832) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - NOV 27, 2017
Bottle, once bought at Erzbierschof. Pours cloudy amber with almost no head. Aroma is barnyard, pig stables, citric fruit. Body is light, tart and acidic, low carbonation, a bit metallic and rusty. Slender profile, quite sour yet in a good balance. Good.

(2009 bottle) This is a surprising one. Really sour but not tiring. A bit barrely so the aftertaste is nice. Simple but tasty.
