Aroma is nutty, earthy hazelnut, choc, twig. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, trail mix, waxy citrus, grass brown bread. Twig. Palate is semi sweet, earthy, mellow char. Moderate cask condition. Decent.

ABV: 3.6%. Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, light cocoa, light dark fruit - earthy malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, dark malt, ash, light cocoa. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20180807]

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear reddish brown beer, small pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry, modest fine carbonation. A slight earthyness to the malts. Touch of cocoa. Tangy mellow dark fruits. Light finish. Not bad.
Scopey (24101) - Oldmeldrum, SCOTLAND - AUG 7, 2018Cask at GBBF. It pours dark brown with a bubbly tan head. The aroma is cacao, liquorice, umami, bit chewy, wood, bark, meatness and spice. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, earthy, wood, cacao nibs, chewy, tannin, leather and dirt with a firmly dry finish. Light body and low carbonation.. Not sure what is crafty about it. Not bad anyhow.
