GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear reddish brown beer, small pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry, modest fine carbonation. A slight earthyness to the malts. Touch of cocoa. Tangy mellow dark fruits. Light finish. Not bad.
Cask at GBBF. It pours dark brown with a bubbly tan head. The aroma is cacao, liquorice, umami, bit chewy, wood, bark, meatness and spice. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, earthy, wood, cacao nibs, chewy, tannin, leather and dirt with a firmly dry finish. Light body and low carbonation.. Not sure what is crafty about it. Not bad anyhow. harrisoni (21940) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 16, 2018

Cask at the Manor Arms, Broughton-in-Furness. Dark brown and opaque. Northern creamy tan head. Scent of charcoal, liquorice and coffee, with softer undertones of violet and cream. Ambrosial sweet chalky taste from start to finish. Lovely big mouthfeel for the ABV. A well-executed mild, and thoroughly enjoyable.
