35cl bottle. Clear caramel pour with a thin off-white head with good retention and visible carbonation rising to the surface. It looks like a well-made old-school IPA. The taste is dominated by malt sugars, caramel and light toffee, balanced a bit by hop bitterness and a bit of grassy, herbal bitterness, with additional notes of citrus and unripe mango. I detect a bit of coffee, as well, but only because I am searching for it. I am usually a sucker for coffee IPAs, but this one disappoints a bit.

Aromas floral, citrus, though inspecific. A little bready malt. Color is amber and fairly clear; head is large and off-white. Mildly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body; oily feel, average carbonation, medium finish. Overall an ok IPA, but it’s fairly simple and the flavors just seem too indistinct to me.

Draught at Town Hall Brewery. Pours clear tawny with a large, creamy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is moderate citrus, herbal and woody hops with medium grainy and toast malt. Flavor is moderate citrus, herbal and woody hops and bitterness with toast and cereal malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

I was really underwhelmed by this beer personally. I really expected to be blown away, but it kinda just feel flat. It didn’t seem to hold any real significant flavor note, and it flopped around between tropical fruit and just bitter hops. I just didn’t really want to have any more of it
