UPDATED: OCT 13, 2023 2020 bottle. Clear gold, a wisp of white head is very soon gone. Aroma of old lemons, crackers, the barn, apple box, brooding grapey oak, glacé pineapple. A fair bit of body and not bone dry. Low carbonation. Mellow autumnal fruit, sour but not acetic with old lemons, pears, pineapple. Moderately oaky at the end. I suppose the Cognac fills out the palate and the oak helps round it out, but it's all pretty seamless (although the breath of booze is a surprise).

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2023 Went specifically to Arlo to get this, after almost a year, when I saw this one in their cellar, François found one. With the great Sunday snack, it was sublime. The cognac aging is subtle, what a find!

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2023 Poured from 750mL bottle (2020 vintage). Hazy gold with small white head. Feint cognac in the nose, has more or less disappeared on the taste. Nice funk still, but since the cognac is minimal now, it’s just good, not great.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2023 750ml shared with Ryan at night before leaving Brussels to reduce the bag weight 😬 Vintage 2020. Appearance: hazy (it spent too much time in a backpack) golden with a bit of head. Aroma: funky with some sweetness. Taste: same, nice cognac barrel notes. Overall: good one.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2023 2012 vintage bottle at Moeder tasting at Ammutson. Golden body. Aroma of cognac barrel, vanilla, moderate funk, some apple, slight citrus, subtle funk. Tastes pretty similar. Medium mouthfeel, with a moderate carboantion. Finishes dry, wooden, with cognac barrel, some fruit notes. Tasty. Not among my favorite 50N's I had, but really interesting and elegant, the cognac barrel is still very present. I'm missing a bit more funk though. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 17

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2022 Wypite lane około 100 ml na One More Beer Festival 2022 w Wieprzu. Wypite na 2 sesji w dniu 5.08.2022. Kolor jasno-złoty, klarowny. W aromacie wyraźnie dzikie, do tego nuty skórzane. W smaku wyraźnie kwaśne, dzikie, dalej skóra.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2022 Wygląd: barwa złota, jasna, klarowne. Aromat: mega dziko, dużo dzikości, skóra. W smaku mocno wytrawne, dzikie, skórzane. Dosyć ciekawe.

Aroma: oak barrels, white wine tannins and funk. Taste: funk, tart, vinous. Clean funk palate. Acidity is just perfect. Next one please!
