Hazy deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, a trace of dark chocolate. Smooth mellow smoke. Modest dark fruits. Smooth smoky finish. Mellow smoked beer, fine.

12 oz bottle. Brown with a nice beige head. Aroma is of smoked sausage, malt, wood. Love the aromas. Taste is of smoked, light ash, light vinegar, sausage, and fennel seed. travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 23, 2017
Big wood smoke aroma, bacon, meaty, BBQ, up my alley. The look is reddish brown in color, beige head, and hazy. The taste is smoke, meat, BBQ, good but not as rich as the smell. kajser27 (1861) - Zagreb, CROATIA - MAY 23, 2017

33 cl. bottled 26 Feb 2015. Big nose of molasses, smoked meat, bread and hints of apple, grass and citrus. Look is mostly clear, darkish brown with a ring and a few spits of creamy foam. Tastes of the same blend as the smell. Medium body has smooth, near-medium fizz and a nice balance with the requisite big smoke that defines the style. Shark_Pants (757) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 8, 2017
330ml bottle BB 26 Feb 2017. Nice clear red-brown with a moderate beige head that recedes quickly. Big smoked ham aromas, along with nice rich malt. The big smoked meat character comes through strong in the taste, complemented well by a nice rich caramel and bready malt, spicy and floral hops. Medium to full bodied, low carbonation, pleasant dry finish. Really enjoyable and well balanced beer. Maris (1531) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - FEB 22, 2017
From a 330ml bottle on 22/2/2017. Pours dark brown with almost no head. Has a strong aroma of campfire smoke and bacon. In the mouth it’ features caramel and treacle, oodles of smokey meat, and a moderately sharp, citrssy sour bitterness to finish things off, The texture is a bit stick and the carbonation is soft. This is the third dark smoked De Molen I’ve had in recent times and all have been very enjoyable. Yves (3054) - Turnhout, BELGIUM - FEB 20, 2017
