midovark (1768) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JAN 1, 2019
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2019 Bottle at home, köszi Panni! Pours jet black with a thick and oily body and no head whatsoever. Nose is so dessert it's unreal. It's chocolate, coffee, poppy seed, vanilla and nuts, with a hint of cinnamon. In taste it's slightly more moderate, but still right there, even though the sweetness becomes overwhelming by the end and there's a bit of an alcohol burn, too. It's medium and creamy bodied with soft carbo, drinks surprisingly easy and well below the ABV. Definitely a great beer to kick 2019 off with.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2018 Bottle 33cl. Small brown layer, heavy body. Opaque color. Aroma is nuts, caramel, sugar, cognac, candy, chocolate. Real power pack. Very sweet taste

strowlands8 (469) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 29, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2018 Overly sweet but I love it. Hazelnut. Chocolate. Mikkeller brunch is better but this is still the business. Peanuts.

Blom (889) - Sorø, DENMARK - DEC 28, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 28, 2018 Black with limited head. Aroma of brown sugar, candy, alcohol, chocolate and candy. Thin palate, cloyingly sweet. Highly overrated in my opinion.

Beer5000 (7434) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 16, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2018 Bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a small brown head. Heavy aroma of dark malt, coffee, milk chocolate, toffee and vanilla. Flavor is like aroma, lots of sweet goodies and definitively sweet, but somehow I don’t get the feeling of over sweet here, there is some kind of a balance here actually. Desert in a bottle, and it tastes damn god.

Cybuch (1118) - Muszyna, POLAND - DEC 15, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2018 Aromat bardzo przyjemny, czekolada, orzechy, nie jest ordynarnie sztuczny ale bardzo intensywny. W smaku geste, poczatek slodki, czekoladowy, finisz palony, kawowy. Troche kluje w gardlo alkoholem. Bardzo fajne, aromaty nie przesadzone a i bez nich piwo by sie obronilo.

Mikkolovesbeer (15) - - DEC 11, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 11, 2018 Pitch black opaque color. Thin head that soon disappears. Aroma really sweet and intense chocolate, nuts, caramel, mud cake. Taste just like aroma but also coffee. Long lingering after taste with sweet vanilla and coffee notes. Beautiful dessert.

HopVillain (273) - POLAND - DEC 1, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 1, 2018 Pite z kranu w 4hops we Wrocławiu. Można by to było wąchać w nieskończoność. W ustach niestety piwo to dopada problem wszystkich piw z aromatami. Dość mało ciała, a wszystkie piękne rzeczy z aromatu zostały gdzieś w tyle. Na pierwszy plan wychodzi klasyczna paloność, lekka kwaskowość ciemnych słodów. Zaskakująco wytrawne (co kontruje nieprawdopodobnie słodki aromat). Goryczka niska i alkohol niestety również się pojawia.

Heidbummer (1778) - SCOTLAND - NOV 17, 2018
Keg, Salt Horse. Dense black/brown, dark brown crema head. Huge dark chocolate and coffee aroma, hazelnuts. Dense sweet mouthfeel initially then dry roasted astringent boozy heat. Complex chocolate, coffee, toasted pecan and hazelnut taste. Jesus it's lovely.

Bottle. Opaque black pour with thin, tenacious ring of brown foam. Aroma is reaallly intense, pastry stout, brownies, caramel, toffee, vanilla, milk chocolate, hazelnut (pecans I guess?). Taste is sweet, boozy, rich and intense. Palate is mouth coating, super sweet. Woof, a bit much.
