Another beer to have when you’re having more than one. Really... if you’re in a parking lot and want cheap buzz... this is your beer.

Needs to be extra extra cold for best results, with the ultra fine carbonation and watery body it is refreshing so treats best when your really thirsty. If you fancy a decent treating drink it isn’t for you, it’s all about the texture with this.

Bottled. Not great. Sort of gross. Bought by a friend so I won't complain. Odd sweet taste.

Pale gold colour with a white head. Sweet aroma, slightly malty. Taste is... pretty much nothing. Perfectly serviceable macro lager, but not one I’d ever seek out.

Hippoman (645) - Durham, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2016
Keg at Osbourne’s, Durham, £3.70/pint. Mid-amber with a very big, ice-cream style head powered by fierce carbonation - it was good to get a keg lager this lively as many pubs seem to struggle to stop them from falling flat. Both the aroma and taste are sweetish and a little buttery with some noble hop type flavours coming through. It does get a little cloying in the long run but I don’t think the hate for this beer is fully justified. As pale lagers go it’s one I don’t mind drinking in the absence of more interesting choices.

The foam is white. Aroma is partially malty and hoppy and is no different from common known Danish lagers (read Carlsberg / Tuborg). Carbonation is very soft and helps to spread the light taste of hops rapidly in the mouth. First impression is a good mellow taste, but seconds after disappearing richness and leave a little watery and very little hoppy taste in the mouth. The finish is dry.

Beer number 1 of BlackHaddocks shitty beer night. Bottle. Pale yellow with small head. Aroma of corn and metalic. Taste is corn and nothing much else. Tasteless. Highly carbonated piss water. The sort of piss water you have in a urinal after drinking lagers. Shitty.
