COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This years easter beer from Jämtlands Bryggeri is also a single varietal hop ale, which means it's brewed with only one type of hops. We have chosen NORTHERN BREWER for obvious reasons! The beautiful colour of the beer, and it's malty sweetness comes from a generous addition of caramel malt.

Dark amber colored beer with a foamy off-white head. Mild and pleasant hoppy and malty aroma with little spices also. Jämtland yeast, plenty of hops and toffee notes in the flavor. Flavorfull and smooth with a good dry end. Another bull’s-eye from Jämtland and a beer I could drink all night long......

Bottled: Amber coloured. Clear. Beige medium sized head. Dense and lasting. Malt and chocolate notes in the aroma. Flavour is fruity, malty and has notes of chocolate. HAs a medium bitterness in the end. Is dry and crisp.

Bov (14988) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAY 24, 2004
clear red-amber colour with little foam, strong hoppy aroma of red fruits, malty, a bit bubblegum-like, medium-bodied with an astringent bitterness, the finish is dry and very bitter - by far not as good as the last 2 vintages

Dark golden, ok head. Has a vinous aroma. Fruity and soapy. Bitter flavor, pepeery and with some alcohol coming through.

Bottled. Amber with a creamy head. Malty aroma with toffee, vanilla and hazelnuts. Sweet and malty flavour; maybe too sweet.

omhper (28409) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - APR 9, 2004
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2004 Bottled. Copper colour, rich head. Lovely hoppy aroma with grapefruit and toffee. The malt profile is where this beer falls short of other Jämtland beers - it is hard and clean without depth. A full body and long bitter finish helps, but Jämtland can do a lot better than this.

On Draught at Plain Kitchen, Göteborg, Sweden. Copper colour. Rich hoppy aroma. Flavour...is a bit extravagant, too much of roasted malt and hops not being able to make a balanced impression. Nevertheless a good brew, but not in comparison with most Jämtlands.

rlgk (18841) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 8, 2004
UPDATED: APR 15, 2004 Amber/orange color, with an ok head. Aroma is frutiy and reminds me of wine. Also there is some toffee in the aroma. Flavor is fruity too, malty and also spicy and bitter. Quite a mild finish. A good beer, but there are better beers from this excellent brewery. (Had to give this one a better rating after a few bottles. I really liked it more and more...)

ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 29, 2004
UPDATED: APR 3, 2004 Re-rate. Amber colour with a large créamy tan head. Nice deep aroma of blackberries, toffee and hops. Flavour starts sweet of caramel and toffee but some nice elegant dry fruity notes comes in later. Dry flavour of blackberries, hops and nuts. Dry hoppy and woody finish. The best Påsköl.
