Previously known as Liberty Station 2nd Anniversary Mocha IPA, now a distributed Stone brand.

Clearly, style lines have been crossed. Is it half-IPA, half-stout? Not quite. Its definitely all IPA, but its also the best of both styles, making this love child of a beer simply just a beautiful, pleasure-seeking meld of imperial IPA and mocha indulgence. How did we come up with this inexplicably delicious creation? Well, that doesnt really matter. What matters is that it exists and that its here for you now, thanks to our deliberate disregard for brewing norms. Some things are not meant to be known, just enjoyed...thoroughly.

Gravity Cask Third of a Pint at GBBF 2016 (Day 1), Olympia, London Aug 2016 - Clear Orangey Amber in colour. Good off-white head. Fair lacing. Very Fruity; grapefruit and orange citrus. Hoppy; piney hops. Malty; mocha, chocolate, coffee. Syrupy. Sweet-bitter fruity hoppy malty throughout. Didnt really work for me. OK, interesting, good even, but not great. (2016-08-09)

Unusual is the best way describe it. Aroma when first poured is tangerines, though if it stands for 30 minutes the chocolate appears faintly. Taste is sweet with bitterness in alternating waves. Never caught the coffee in the aroma or taste.

Clear, deep golden, medium creamy off white head, good lasting. Aroma is of coffee beans, bit alcohol, some malt, citrus and floral hops. Taste is medium+ sweet malt, caramel, coffee beans, moderate citrus and floral hops, medium bitterness, dryish finish, some alcohol and warmth. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation, oily. Nice mix, although not something I see myself drinking on a daily basis... (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Appearance- cloudy amber, a half-finger off-white head which gradually settles. Aroma- coffee, milk chocolate, roast malt traces, hint of caramel, orange and tropical fruit, bready malt. Taste- tastes how its advertised- a big, bitter, malty IPA, with smooth milk chocolate and coffee sat on top. Juicy mouthfeel, bitter roast finish. Not as syrupy or full-bodied as other DIPAs. Tasty stuff.
