Previously known as Liberty Station 2nd Anniversary Mocha IPA, now a distributed Stone brand.

Clearly, style lines have been crossed. Is it half-IPA, half-stout? Not quite. Its definitely all IPA, but its also the best of both styles, making this love child of a beer simply just a beautiful, pleasure-seeking meld of imperial IPA and mocha indulgence. How did we come up with this inexplicably delicious creation? Well, that doesnt really matter. What matters is that it exists and that its here for you now, thanks to our deliberate disregard for brewing norms. Some things are not meant to be known, just enjoyed...thoroughly.

On tap at Stone Brewing Berlin. Comes with a cloudy orange color and a nice white head. The nose has a lot of dark roasted coffee, ripe fruits of peach and apricot, some bitter orange-peel. something very refreshing, nice hops. Taste is nice as well: Dark coffee, lots of sweet fruits in the beginning, followed by more bitter ctitrus-peels. Dark coffe and chocoloat. Nice dry hops and fruit finish! Yeah!

330ml bottle served in a shaker glass. Pours a cloudy dark orange color forming a medium to small beige head with medium to low retention. Nose is sweet: Strong notes of mocha, caramel, orange zest and dark chocolate. Flowery hops. Taste follows the nose. Sweet upfront. Strong notes of mocha and dark chocolate, caramel malts and grapefruit. Notes of orange. Grassy hops. Good bitterness which is well hidden by the caramel and chocolate sweet notes. Heavy body. Medium to low carbonation. Coffee, dark chocolate and orange in the aftertaste. Good drinkability. Great IIPA with Stone DNA.

[email protected] hki. Darker orange hazy. Pretty strong mocha coffee on npse, ripe fruits, ripe red apricots, caramels. Med full bodied, well bittered. Long long coffee beany apricotty finish. Really tasty. Strange. But tasty. Keep switching my mind between that coffee-indulgance- mode and the ripe fruity socal dipa thing. Intetresting, not the total fuckup id imagined.

Bottle 12 fl.oz / Amstein - St-Lgier (CH). Hazy coppery-orange beer, with an average ivory head. Aromas of coffee and citrus, lemon and sap, dark chocolate. The taste is soft malted, roasted with coffee, dark choc, a lot of citrus, rose and pine. Bittersweet balance with tones of alcohol and a long finale on the bitterness with notes of green coffee and its bag. You really have to like that.

(Keg at Sori Taproom, 20170226) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had pine, fruitiness and rye like sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, pine, sweetness, coffee, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had hops, coffee, tartness and bitterness. A rather nice spiced hoppy brew. The coffee was mild enough.
