0.37 l bottle from Koht Pudelpood, Tallinn, Estonia. Appearance is deep red/ruby, cloudy and still. Taste is really dry but with deep dry cherry taste not just super dry lambic. Beautiful - the ultimate cherry beer.

Bright, blood/cherry-red body shows high clarity and a pinkish-orange-tinted, off-white head that is large but fades quickly to cover. Quite well-carbonated, with sediment left behind.
Cherry skin, lightly and intensely tart greets the nose as biscuity, lightly cereal-like wheat lies behind it. Intense lactic character, per usual from these guys. It’s bright and fruity, but weighed down, a bit, by the massive surplus of acid. When you think of the best krieks out there (in my mind, 3F and Cantillon), sure there’s a good deal of acidity, but there’s plenty of softer, more easygoing Brett and not as much intense, tannic cherry skin assault (unless you’re talking about late 90’s, early 00’s Cantillon Kriek, in which case it’s just as sour, but still brighter and less tannic). Regardless, it’s still clean and very sniffable, with real cherry character, no oak or apple or really anything unwanted.
Bitingly sour in the mouth, with the one-two punch of sour cherry acidity and bacterial lactic acidity really puckering the shit out of the palate. Moderate carbonation, nice and tight, helps disperse the acidity as best it can, but this stuff is still painfully sour. Slick-to-malty texture with tons of wheat and light oak tannin. Bone dry and enjoyable if you like the intense sour stuff, which I do, but probably still a bit dominated by the lactic character, at this point. Would imagine this will soften nicely in five or so years.

A little bit too acidic for my taste. Cherries are really there but the vinegar like acidic note is way to powerful.

W aromacie nuty czerwonego wina, drewna, wiśni, kwaśne, smak: bardzo kwaśne, octowe wręcz, wiśnie, cierpkie, aż wykręca język, za bardzo przegięte w strone kwaśności jak dla mnie.

Cherries, funk, leather, vinegar in nose. Pours red with pink head. Taste is sour with lots of juicy cherries, funk, vinegar, nicely balanced especially for Hanssens lambics. Very tart finish, average to lively carbonation. Overall very good.

Shared 12.7. oz. bottle. 2015 edition. Pours a dark ruby with a small light pink head. Fruity cherry nose. Taste is sour cherries, oak, acetic acid. Very tart finish. Nice.

Aroma: tart and sour; Appearance: murky crimson pour with thin white head that disappears; Taste: follows nose with notes of vinegar; Palate: light bodied with long, vinegar finish; Overall: good but not the best lambic I’ve had.

From a 375 cl bottle purchased at Trio in Kitty Hawk. Bottled in 2015. Pours a clear deep rose with a slight pink head. Aroma of cherries is powerful and inviting. Flavors of sour cherries and red wine. Sour but refreshing finish.
