(bottle, thanks to Quack-Duck!) Slightly hazy, amber colour with a firm and medium-sized off-white foamy head. Slightly caramelly malty aroma with hints of biscuits and toffee. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Hearty malt character with notes of caramel, biscuits and a vaguely herbal hoppy touch in the background; sweet malty and slightly bitter hoppy finish with present notes of caramel. Not too deep but likeable half-dark Bock. 24.I.16 Quack-Duck (10310) - Down South, GERMANY - JAN 3, 2016
bottle from Weinkauff. Clear amber-brown with a creamy off-white head. Chocolatey nose. Medium-bodied, good malty base with a ncie touch of dark honey. Hints of chocolate, caramel and raisins. Quite nice, but I still don’t get it why a beer that wants to be from Konstanz is brewed in Bayreuth.
