COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A tart farmhouse ale whose inspiration is drawn from freshly baked berry pie features a half-pound per gallon of strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. The sweet acidity of the berries paired with the mild farmhouse funk of our house culture is rounded by the addition of full bodied Haw Creek honey.

Aroma - must, vinous notes, and berry. Appearance - the body is a reddish orange. When the bottom yeast is poured in, it greatly clouds and darkens to a tawny brown. The head is around 1/3" and off-white. It settles to a thick ri g with some suds in the center. Taste - has a tart vinuous and Brettanomyce yeast taste. There is a little must with a mix of berry fruit. Palate - body is medium, texture is vinuous, carbonation is average, finish is tart and slightly musty.

Draft at Craft Brewed Wicked Weed event. Pours a pretty deep pink, to red with a finger of foam that lingers. Raspberry, young strawberry aromas....touch of lingonberry. Slight vanilla oak. Tart on the palate, tasty tartness. Yogurt and berry towards the finish. Very nice.

On tap at Pinocchio’s. Deep amber pour, a pretty color with nice fluffy head. Nothing but funk on the nose. It’s sour. It’s just sour. Tart cherries, muted. Some notes of strawberry and other berrylike fruit, but muted. Not overpowering. Interesting, but not my thing.

A 500ml bottle, bottled on 20th November 2015. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was a slightly hazy strawberry orange pink colour with an almost two finger white head that dissipates fairly quickly but left lots of clingy lacing. Aromas of tart mixed berries although it seems strawberry is most prominent, brett funkiness, barnyard, mustiness with hints of honey. Tastes tart, lightly sour, strawberry, raspberry and blackberry with mild funkiness and perhaps a touch of lemon and pepper. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a dry-ish finish. Overall this was nice, refreshing and easy to drink. I’m not getting much of the honey as it just seems like berry sweetness, but I’m sure its mixed in with that and also guessing that the honey adds to the body.

Bottle from Sherry’s. Clear golden-preacher, slight pink hue. Frothy off-white head and streaky, sticky lace. Pretty much as expected, fruity / berry aroma and flavor. Funky, a little tart. Finishes tart and just a little sour. Nice stuff.
