COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A modern take on a classic American Pilsner, brewed with Pilsner malt and a small percentage of flaked rice for a light body and malt character. Hopped exclusively with Amarillo hops from throughout the boil and then dry-hopped with Amarillo as well for a tropical, peachy aroma and medium bitterness. In 2015, this was Gibsons B Pilsner. Name change to Amarillo Pilsner in 2016.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2020 Soft hops and light grain on the nose but too faint. Very nice crystal yellow body and adequate foam. Flavour is soft hops, a hint of vegetal. Smooth mouthfeel but missing some good pilsner sharpness. I wouldn't call this bad but I could imagine it to be so much better.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2019 Poured from can. This seemed to get a really high rating, so it stood out for me on the shelf. Pouring true to style, yellow straw with a healthy white head. A touch of haziness in this can, nothing detrimental though. Amazingly aroma. Fresh, bright, open citrus aroma. Slightly lemon and pepper. Very tasty, thirst quencher for sure. Lingering distinct bitterness on the back of the tongue, would be very surprised if it was actually only 25 IBU. Great beer, would definitely try it again.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2019 Can. Unclear golden color with white head. Aroma is nice fresh hops, crackery malts, a touch cardboard. Taste is earthy, pale malts, herbal hops, a touch vegetal even, very bitter finish. Good but not amazing.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2018 22 oz bottle poured, gifted by mcberko. Thanks, Matt! After only a couple of years of hearing about this secret gem from up north, I finally get to dive in and try it myself. Pours a clean and shiny golden pour with a full set of foam head and lacing. Aroma is pleasant, bready gains, crackers, modest grassy hops. Taste is a crisp and refreshing front, similar makeup as the aroma. Grassy hops are present, though there is a slight lemon citrus cool quality to pair. Crisp front, but a smooth finish. Almost creamy. A solid pils here, and one that can really stand up to my favorite, being the B15 Gloria. Very nice beer here.

After a few recommendations I decided to search this bad boy out. Golden with a semi-creamy white head. First, this is a glorious beer. It is soft I. All the right spots with enough bite to keep ya going. Citrus, some grass. This might seem like a stretch but minus the citrus the overall feel is similar to PU unfiltered. Great beer.
