Originally named Black Ops but name changed to Polygraph following a complaint from Brooklyn Brewery.

Black in colour with flavors that are intensely malty and deeply roasted with accents of dark fruit, chocolate and mocha. Hints of sweetness are tempered by crisp tart bitterness.

Polygraph is a full flavoured stout with toast, liquorice, hints of dark fruit, chocolate and mocha that are tempered by crisp tart bitterness and a smooth velvety texture.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2022 (Thanks, Jeremy! 'Blackhaddock') Can. A- Bitter, roasty, cocoa, mild tobacco. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Bitter, char, cocoa, mild smoke, mild tobacco. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- More bitter than I typically like but this was a nice beer. Lots of charred wood. Really a textbook stout. Enjoyed it.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2021 Looks amazing - black as night 🌙 and deep brown head, though this didn't last long. Not so much of the sweeter aroma, but plenty in the mouth. Big malt, cigar, chocolate, espresso, and a big bitter punch. Lovely long outro, hides its strength tactfully. Is it a black DIPA? Not sure I'd rush to drink a second, but well worth a try. £5.20 from Bottle & Barrel shop

coil (734) - Surrey, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2019
UPDATED: APR 24, 2019 330ml bottle from beergonzo.co.uk. Black colour with tan head. Big dark roasted malts, big liquorice, big green coffee beans, big tobacco, dark chocolate, cocoa beans, espresso, blackcurrant, hoppy for style, dried tropical fruit, pine resin, grapefruit peel, molasses, dried dark fruit, light eggy / sulphur, some weird light meaty umami thing (?). Nice hoppy stout + pretty unique, borderline black IPA, would be even better without that eggy / sulphur thing

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2019 Estaba en una habitación oscura, así que no puedo precisar el color. Quizá negro o quizá marrón oscuro. Espuma marrón más clara de dos dedos de grosor y buena retención. Carbonatación suave. Textura oleosa. Aroma a cítricos y malta torrefacta. En boca hay cítricos, pino y malta torrefacta. Amargor suave al final del trago con algo de duración en regusto y postgusto. Black IPA.

cage.79 (455) - Worcestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 9, 2019 Bottle from Tuffins, Craven Arms. Pours thick black with tan head. Aroma is fresh grapefruit. Taste is initially sharp citrus fruit then mellows to reveal lovely dark malty goodness; leather, coffee, burnt toast. Then the bitter finish which again brings the citrus. Full bodied, creamy in the mouth. Booze is there but not harsh. Bangin’
