UPDATED: OCT 19, 2020 Colore ambrato chiaro, cappello fine e abbastanza persistente. Carbonatura appena eccessiva. SonOfAnarchy (928) - ST HELENA - SEP 26, 2020
UPDATED: SEP 26, 2020 Bottle. Cloudy amber in the glass, low off-white head. Aroma is quite faint, with notes of pine resin and exotic fruits with nuisances of citrus. Taste is semi-dry, average bitterness. Flavors of citrus, pine resin, slight exotic fruits. Pine resin in the long aftertaste. Full body, slick texture, medium to high carbonation — slightly over-carbonated.
So, here we go, finally tasted the legend! An old-school, unprecedented pale ale. As with all classics, it's had for me to rate it objectively, but it's surely enjoyable. ResinousSensei49 (6) - - SEP 10, 2020 does not count

You know the national archives of the most significant things in history? Yeah I feel this is in there somewhere. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is an anomaly. It lives in it's own world. It's not really a pale ale. It's not an IPA either. It's what I call a gateway. This is the beer that opened the door to the hop world as I was progressing through the beer ladder. This ale is something special. It's skunky. It's dry. It's piney. Beautiful color. Its got all the skunky west coast IPA attitude with aroma and flavor - but reigned back on the dryness and heaviness. The flavor is fantastic. Fruity, hoppy and very piney. But it's clean. Doesn't have the background bite that have. Finishes with just nice notes. This is one of the best beers ever created for multiple reasons.
