Bottle & keg: Filtered
Ingredients: Barley malts, mineral water, wheat, hops and white candy sugar.
Created in the 1980s, and named after an 18th century brewer and innkeeper, Pauwel Kwak, who apparantly developed a shorter version of the traditional English long stirrup glass (which developed into the yard of ale), for coachmen to use.
Kwak is served with respect for tradition in its own Kwak glass. Recognisable, special and just as idiosyncratic as the taste of the beer itself.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2020 DANGER! DANGER! HIGH VOLTAGE! Wowsers, a shoulder blade breakingly beer with a velvet taste and pornstar feel. Approach at caution!

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2020 Een jaar over datum gedronken. Roodbruin bier met beperkte witte schuimkraag. Ruikt naar Ijzer. Proeft licht zoet met een lange, zacht bittere afdronk.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2020 Syrupy amber pour, medium head and carbonation. Rich varnished wood aromas lead into sweet treacly booze bomb. Light bitter finish. Lovely.

PowY (3076) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - MAY 24, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 24, 2020 15.05.2020: 330 ml bottle at home, 8.4% ABV, bb. 12.2020, bought at Drinks of the World, Bern. Clear dark amber color with a white head. The aroma is medium malty and lightly yeasty with sweet malt, honey, brown sugar, dark bread and some spicy yeast. Medium to medium-full body with an average carbonation, a medium sweetness and a light bitterness. The flavor is similar to the smell but a bit sweeter than expected and a noticeable hop presence - sugar, syrup, honey, spicy yeast and very light fruity notes. Finishes with hints of residual malt, a light hoppy bitterness and hints of alcohol. Overall a nice strong Belgian ale with a well integrated alcohol; malt heavy but with enough yeast notes to supplement the malty sweetness. Aroma: 7 Appearance: 4 Taste: 7 Palate: 4 Overall: 13

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2020 W aromacie: gruszka, maliny, suszone brzoskwinie, alkohol, ananas z puszki, kompot jabłkowy. Po ogrzaniu wychodzą banany oraz nuty słodowe: praliny, ciasteczka, ciasto drożdżowe, skórka chleba. Smak zbalansowany. Czuć migdały, szlachetny alkohol, morele i brzoskwinie. Rozgrzewanie alkoholowe, pełnia średniowysoka, nagazowanie niskie, goryczka niska, lekko alkoholowa.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2020 Amber reddish appearance with light haze and a beige head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, fruity esters, toasted malt and a light herbal spice. Similar flavor, adding mild to moderate sweetness and a slight bitterness. Medium plus body with a creamy feel and a smooth finish. Good.

bdleedahl (3343) - , Saxony, GERMANY - MAY 17, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 17, 2020 A medium quality belgian dubbel styled beer. I think this bottle is just a touch oxidized. But the underlying malt body is spot on. online saveur bier
