Near black oily pour, brown head. Aroma is at first barrel heavy, but starts opening up quick to be balanced between barrel, fudge, cinnamon and pepper. Flavor is decadent and balanced from the start. More spice than the base I've had but more intense flavors elsewhere too, so it's all good. Thick and smooth. Bottle shared for my 15k beer massive thanks to Maakun! Black with a ring beige head. Aroma of big bourbon, oak and vanilla with cinnamon, chocolate, cocoa, molasses and fudge. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with the hottest chilli burn in the finish that i’ve ever had from a Mexican Cake variant and soft carbonation. Surprising level of chill for a ‘15 drunk at the start of ‘18.
Bottle shared to celebrate kermis’ 15k, congrats!!! Thanks to Foeders for having us. Black with short lasting dark brown head that leaves a nice ring. Massive bourbon, soft mint, chilies, cinnamon, molasses, dark chocolate, more spices, light alcohol, cookies, soft maple. This keeps on giving. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied with quite some chili heat. I love Mexican cake and this is a lovely lovely version of it. Superb. RasmusOtt (3214) - Aarhus, DENMARK - NOV 16, 2017
