Smoked flavours, dark toasted malts, burnt molasses, metallic flavours. Hazy, very dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More dark, toasted malts, rye bread, dry, cutter citrus fruits, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Alright Impy, nice smoked flavours in aroma. Bottle at Chriso & Ruth’s pre-GBBF shindig, Kensal Rise.

The great pre GBBF bottleshare at ChrisO’s. Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth but dry dark malts, quite some tang and bitterness. Little dark chocolate and dark fruits. Dry finish. A bit rough edged but fine.

from Amstein - black beer with a moderate dark beige foam left; aroma of licorice, prunes and ashes; full-bodied, thick and light oily; grainy and solidly bitter; some notes of burnt ribbon, residual sugars, chocolate, licorice and tires

stupre (402) - Nanterre, FRANCE - MAY 20, 2017

Hinaros (4) - ST HIPPOLYTE, FRANCE - MAY 16, 2017 does not count
A very pleasant and lasting foam. A black coffy and plum aroma, gently toasted beer. A little strong but a good stout.
