Bought @ Voges This beer has a future... Nice roast in aroma. Huge roast in taste. A lot of coffee. Blends in very well with the roast.

Zwart bier met mooie bruine schuimkraag. Geur: geroosterde mout, aards, eikels, zoethout, hoppig. Smaak: harsachtige groene hop, chocolade, zoet, drop. Mooie balans tussen zoet en bitter. Volmondig, romig. Zachte koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: bitterzoet, kleverig. Goed gehopt en ruig, zo heb ik ze graag. Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's Sainte Crucienne!

Bottle split at Chris & Ruths pre GBBF Shin Dig, cheers for all the shares, 05/08/17. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is bitter roast, dark chocolate, black peppery spice, burnt toffee. Taste comprises bittersweet malts, stewed fruits, chocolate sprinkle, roasted tones, leather, liquorice, spice. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Ok impy ... a sippable affair but low end for the style and lacking depth for an 11% beast.

Mooie bittere koffie nasmaak. Heerlijk!

The_Osprey (9935) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 21, 2017
August 2017 - Bottle share at Chriso's Pre-GBBF Shindig. As 'Sainte Crucienne No Future', 11%. Dark brown with a slight orange hue, foamy light brown head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is cola, treacle, a bit meaty. Body is smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is cola, spicy, twiggy, drying ashy vibes into the finish, a bit hot on the booze front. OK but not as good as I'd hoped when I bought 4 bottles of it. (6-4-5-4-14=3.3)

Scopey (16550) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 12, 2017
Bottle at C&R Pre-GBBF Tasting 2017. It pours hazy deep brown - black with a small beige head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, chocolate cake, quite sticky, cherry, stewed fruits, fruit compote and toasted sugars. The taste is slick, quite sugary, tangy fruits, fruit compote, toasted malt, ashy, charred wood, tar and a lick alcohol warmth. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. A decent enough beer, but pretty average for the style.

Bottle shared at kermis' chop suey extravaganza. Courtesy of Maakun, thanks! Black with light tan head. Big sweet roasted chocolate malts and hazlenut cream, moccha cherry pie. Big sweet and mild bitterness, light tartness. Full body, velvety creamy feel, soft carbonation. Pretty nice!

Maakun (6952) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - SEP 9, 2017
Bottle at kermis' Asian food festival. Black with creamy light brown head. Lots of dark chocolate, licorice, nuts, quite some blackberries, roast, ash, toffee. Over medium sweet, medium bitter and light sour. Full bodied. Good.
