@Restaurant Union, Basel - pours a very dark brown beer with a little foam left; shy aroma of toasted malts, toffee and bread; sweet maltiness and with a moderate malt backbone; gently bitter, coffeish toasted finish, pretty short

Ritzn (1534) - GERMANY - MAY 12, 2017
Black with little brown head. Aroma is roast cocoa coffee dried leaves. Taste is full bodied bitter coffee and cocoa slight sweet lacto. Slight fusels in the back. Oily and rather sharp. Long dry finish. Nice roast but a tad unbalanced.

hauxe (835) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - FEB 9, 2017
Pours black from the bottle. The thin beige head fades fairly quickly and completely. The aroma is malty sweet, lots of smoke, a bit earthy. The taste is sweet up front. Traces of coffee and chocolate are noticeable, briefly, before a tangy candy sourness washes them away. Medium body. Decent and drinkable but also uninspiring.

Schwarz, fast blickdicht, leicht rötlich schimmernd mit beigem Schaum. Geruch: angenehme Röstaromen, welche an dunkle Schokolade erinnern. Im Antrunk, malzig leicht süß eingebettet in Röstmalz, Schokolade und etwas Kaffee.. Leicht bitterer Abgang. Gut.

Zlotta (3415) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - DEC 19, 2016
0.33 l bottle from local REWE as ’Camba Dark Side’, best before May 2017. Clear, very dark red to black with a thin, rather fluffy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, some licorice and slightest hints of lovage. Moderately sweet, malty and slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, lots of coffee, licorice, a touch of hazelnut and hints of dark fruits, followed by a short, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Not bad!

DSG (14922) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - DEC 3, 2016
