375 ml bottle. 2015 vintage. Pours a lightly cloudy gold with a small white head that settles into a ring and partial thin film. Notes of bretty and barnyard funk, clementine and lemon citrus, white grapes, florals, sawdusty oak, dry grains, straw, pale malts. Light-bodied, with a dry, funky, tart - but mostly dry - mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Didn't do as much for me as the others in this series, but still good. beer-yum (1890) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 19, 2017
Funky farmhouse aroma in a light gold pour. Interestingly fruity for a brett brew - which makes it an excellent introduction to the yeast (as it comes through in a subtle way). PhillyBeer2112 (2895) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - JUN 11, 2017
Pleasing funky sour nose, hint of citrus/orange. A bit meh in the glass, little carb or liveliness, no head. But after finishing the pour I did manage to get some sediment, giving it a better look, a cloudy glowing yellow-white. Short of that it was clear and juice like in appearance. Fizzy on the palate though with a nice up front tartness and semi-sweet behind that, leading into briny finish. The yeast gives it a bready character that balances the tart. I don’t get much more orange in the flavor, mostly the nose. Maybe a hint of orange juice at the finish. It’s a really great modestly sour easy drinker. oobawa (1748) - Tennessee, USA - MAY 20, 2017
Strong bitter citrus sour, yeasty and effervescent with a massive clementine middle and a tart orange/grapefruit peel finish. Moderate funk develops late, then a citric sweetness provides the slightest of relief from the sour. The fade stays manageable despite the clingy acidity, and the barnyard notes grow dirtier and lovelier as the pint warms. Nose is mostly funky yeast, and the pour’s unimpressive, but still a very drinkable sour. joergen (29216) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 25, 2017
