sjohnny (916) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUN 30, 2022UPDATED: JUN 30, 2022 Brown sugar. Plum. Candied fruit. Very dark brown with a thin light tan head that fades quickly. Chewy. Toffee. Brown sugar. Bready. Fruit cake. Booze. Lingering thick bready mouthfeel. This is really damn good.
ianwelby (3508) - Hamilton, SCOTLAND - APR 15, 2022UPDATED: APR 15, 2022 2021 Vintage: Dark, reddish-brown with a thin tan head. Smells of caramel with some sweet spice and a bit of the booze. Flavour follows suit. Caramel, toasty malt, dried fruit, some spice and a good whack of boozy warmth around a body of reasonable richness. Tastes its strength so it demands respect. Very tasty, and with a nice warm, spicy, boozy finish.
GlenPiWi (527) - Vilvoorde, BELGIUM - APR 15, 2022UPDATED: APR 15, 2022 Vintage 2020. Pours dark brown with a red hue, beige tiny head, little carbonation. Caramel and spices on the nose. Medium mouthfeel, caramel, chocolate, spices. The spicyness is really something special and an acquired taste. Good though, expected a but more complexity, but that will come from ageing. Will surely do that.
