COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is our ode to the ugly ducking of Christmas song covers. And we’re so hap-happy to exploit it for our most wonderful Christmas brew. A medieval ale pimped with the type of obscure spices only free-foraging Gaelic’s would dare pluck. A hint of caramel, a dash of black liquorice – this one-off Christmas brew is as thick and vulgar as the song that inspired it. Some say gruit is an aphrodisiac, that’s your call. But we will tell you this: once you drink it you’ll never be ever to get this f*cking ugly Christmas song out of your head again! Sorry Andy. And a very merry this and that.

Bouteille 33cl, batch# Y16B0014, BB 28/11/2021.

Small, irregular yellow head, disappearing over fully opaque reddish tinted black-brown beer. Caramel, toffee, dried fruit (figs,...); spices obvious but not identifiable, dark green leaves. Human sweat, bread, caramel, toffee, liquorice, alcoholsweet. Yeasty features. Laurel, coriander, juniper - and heather? Pretty carbonated feel. Well bodied, alcoholwarming. I’ll believe the non-Sassenach spices. For what it’s worth, it’s very much like a Walloon dark strong ale to me. And not quite my thing.

Dark brown with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a fair bit of liquorice and light spice. Also sweet dried fruit like dates.

Caramel in the aroma, the taste is not deep, the prevailing sweetness (but not cloying) , in the aftertaste a slight bitterness and dried fruits (not for long) , Drink easily and exactly what for a few glasses in the company Tap, Craft Republic, Moscow
