UPDATED: MAR 31, 2024 Old Untappd checkin, August 7, 2016. Pours a brownish red with a thin off-white head. Tastes of cereal malts, toffee, caramel, biscuit, and some dried dark fruit notes. Mildly bitter finish. Not bad at all.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2020 Bottle. Pours dark ruby amber, beige head. Aroma: apple, blackcurrant, toffee malts, bread, fruity hops. Taste: light sweet & light to moderate bitter, malty, hints of raisin, fruity hops, malty toffee. Medium body, average carbonation, light dry nutty finish.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2020 Aroma : Sweet caramel and rye malts, some grapefruit and a little earthy hop. Taste : Dusty rye bread, some caramel sweetness. Dry citric hoppy finish. Very average!

500ml bottle in 2017. Clear amber with an offwhite head. Aroma of aniseed, berries and grainy malt. Some resinous pine flavour with a bundle of sweet bready malts.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2019 Tap (Old Mates, Levi). Dark amber red color. Small size, off-white head, stays. Sweet, rye, caramel, citrus in aroma and in taste. Slick mouthfeel. Drinkable brew.

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2019 Can from Monmouth Waitrose, 09/06/18. Vegetal rye nose with elements of tallow, cinnamon and Tizer. Brief headed red. Nutty taste with rubs of conifer, soap and lingering chaff. The orange-inflected, sherbet-flicked, slightly floral house base sits quite well with this kind of gubbins. Fine aftertaste of creamy roasted nut that lingers. Good enough.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2018 330ml can. Dark amber colour with off-white head. Big rye, sweet malt, red grapefruit, bready, dried stone fruit, light hoppy finish

500 ml bottle. Clear copper color with average white head. Smells rye and caramel notes. Taste are little bitterness with some rye and bread notes and little caramel sweetness. Rich in taste. Easy drinkable and refreshing. Average time aftertaste little bitterness with some hops and notes with caramel sweetness and dry finish. Tasty lager.

Draught at The Fox & Goose, Ealing, London. Clear amber to copper. Bready, slightly caramelly malt, herbal hops. Dry, medium bitterness.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2018 Keg at Hand and Flower Kensington. Light rye spice, malt, refreshing citrus. Good beer.
