11/10/11/11/9/11 the_beergery (262) - - MAR 19, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2018 355 ml can. Appearance of the brew is a clear pale straw gold, topped with quite a good layer of white froth, but which dissipates rapidly, and dies not regenerate on swirling. Aroma is very hop forward, citrus fruits and florals, with no trace or hint of traditional Pilsener malts. Taste is again hoppy, sweetish fruity mainly, with very little bitterness present, and again malts are muted. Light bodied, crisp, refreshing. DandyWolfFloyd (1504) - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 28, 2018
Aroma - some crystal malt and Saaz and American IPA hops.
Appearance - body is a slightly hazed pale. The head is white 2" and fades rapidly. Lacing looks good and splotchy.
Taste - crystal, bread, and corn like in malt, the hops aren't overly bitter, initially, but strengthen with temperature. American varietal hops. Dry hop nature that has a slight grass.
Palate - body is light, texture average, carbonation is close to lively, finish cloud the center of the tongue. Slight abrupt bitter. Subliminal64 (280) - London, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 16, 2018
Where Purchased: 347ml bottle from the Meijer in Michigan (drive home from Chicago) Consumed: from a pilsner glass
Aroma: Smells hoppy. Nothing else.
Appearance : filtered pale gold with decent head that disappears within the first few sips. No lacing.
Taste: very hoppy. If there is any malty or sweet tastes, it is overpowered by the hops. Not what an American Pils or traditional Pils should taste like.
Palate : medium body. Bittersweet aftertaste. Decent carbonation.
Overall: WAY too hoppy for the style. I was glad to try another quality beer from this brewer, but will not buy again. MB. The Beer "Bear"on. Leighton (23695) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 22, 2018
