Clear darker copper. Dense head. Mild popcorny sweet nitty nose. Full bodied, well textured. Roasted malts very mild along some caramel nutty aromas. Quite dry. Great Dunkel. SaintMatty (8694) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - APR 9, 2019
UPDATED: APR 9, 2019 500ml Bottle - Brown with orangey red tinges. Caramel, brown sugar, nuts and hints of berries in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with chestnuts, cocoa, berries, raisins, plums and rye detected. PowY (2848) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - SEP 19, 2018
Taster from bottle, courtesy of Werckmeister, many thanks! Pours a clear dark amber with an off white head. The aroma is lightly malty with rye bread, toasted bread, earthy, some cardboard, hints of butter, toffee and light herbal/metallic notes. Light to medium body with a clean light to medium bitterness. The flavor is light to medium hoppy with a generic earthy and herbal hoppy bitterness and some malt in the back - dried fruits, toffee, cardboard, some green apples, some toastesd malt. Finishes with a lasting medium hoppy bitterness and some toasted notes. Rather unbalanced for me - in my opinion the bitterness clashes with the below average body.

500 ml bottle, bb 30/10/2018. Many thanks to Werckmeister!Werckmeister (5598) - Cartagena, COLOMBIA - AUG 27, 2018
Copper-brownish, clear body, with a medium, fluffy, lacing, beige head.
Aroma of toast, spices, cocoa, dark bread, hay, some toffee, some roasted nuts.
Tastes quite similar, while with more dark chocolate.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes spicy, toasty, a bit dry, medium roasty, a bit hoppy, with some cocoa powder, some bitter chocolate.
Very nice. Really rich and robust for the style, with diverse toasty and spicy dark malts. Especially the taste is lovely, with some dark chocolate notes I like a lot. Not my favourite Dunkel, but still a pretty outstanding example.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2018 0,5l bottle in Brussels. BB 30.10.2018. dark brown color, small off white head. smells earthy, spices, caramelly, marzipan, tobacco. decent smell. medium body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, breadish, spices, peppery, herbal, tobacco, bit metallic. finishes medium bitter with notes of spices, tobacco and some peppery notes. I find this almost a bit too harsh (too peppery / spicy). Ok, but not totally my thing kermis (18399) - Amsterdam-ish, NETHERLANDS - AUG 26, 2018

Bottle shared at BXL Beerfest ‘18, Brussels, thanks! Clear brown with a tan head. Aroma of malt, toffee and nutty notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Sampled at BXL festival from bottle left behind, thanks RB crew! Crystal clear deep amber with beige head. Nice crisp malts, caramel, soft toast, fresh bergs, apricot, raw cocoa, bready, quite some bitter grassy hops. Just medium sweet and over medium bitter. Medium bodied with slick feel. Nice look.
