COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The California Gold Rush compelled thousands to Go West! “to see the elephant,” a metaphor for the doggedly optimistic risk-taking linked then and now with America’s intensified pursuit of happiness. As early as 1849, India Pale Ale—prepared by British brewers for export to India by adding dry hops to barrels of hoppy ale—was also going west, from England around the Horn to San Francisco. In 1975, Anchor—America’s first craft brewery—led the modern revival of dry-hopped handmade ales.

Fast-forward to Go West! IPA™, made with 2-row pale barley malt and dry-hopped with a unique blend of 4 American hops. Its mouthwateringly complex aromas of citrus, pine, and the tropics; spiky bitterness; gleaming golden color; and clean finish unite to create this singular 24-karat IPA. Go West!, where the impossible is possible.

This brew pours bright, clear golden color with light tan head, has strong tropical and citrus fruit aromas balanced by the spiky freshness of pine needles. You get bitterness up front followed by subtly sweet maltiness, a light body and very smooth finish. You get hop bitterness, clean and fresh, and a hint of sweetness creates a complexity that leaves you wanting more.

Malt: 2-Row Pale
Hops: Apollo, Bravo
Dry Hops: Citra, Equinox, Calypso, Eureka!

Bottle. Lightly hazy orange-tinted gold, lasting creamy white head. Aroma and flavour are malty with a perfumey tea-like character leaning toward Jasmine and orange, ending with firm bitterness. Good.

Bottle. Poured a golden color with medium head. Big aroma of some citrus hop and resin, and some aroma I can't place. Pine and basement funk fruit citrus. Crisp slight apple orange grapefruit. It's pretty unique and pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy orange red. Aroma of pine and tangerine musty and creamy. Taste is bright and sweet with a pronounced bitterness throughout. Creamy mouthfeel. Different than most other IPA s ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce can at home. Big fluffy white head. Orange, yellow and hazy in looks. Looks very nice. Not very hopped which I like. Not much after bite. A little bland. Pretty smooth. Overall I was pleasantly surprised how chilled this beer is and consider this very mild and interesting. Very drinkable!

W aromacie las i skórka grejpfruta.

Can. Pours a hazy golden color with a small cream-colored head. Solid IPA aroma, predominantly citrus with pine. Hoppy bitter flavor with this but you can still taste the malt as well. Medium bodied and quite good.

Hektische Perlen, toller Cremeschaum. In der Nase reife Früchte, etwas Karamell. Im Trunk alkoholisch, Pfirsich, ziemlich krachig, hinten bitter.

Very middle of the road ipa quite heavy and manages to be neither piney hoppy or fruity quite bitter in the finish more an old school english example.

Very confusing beer for me. The aroma is very fresh and sweet, lovely. But beer is heavy and has very bitter aftertaste. It´s OK if you like it but that is not something I would enjoy. But don´t get me wrong, it is not bad beer, just not my style.
