Draft @ Brouwcafe de Molen. Pours a pitch black beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma has loads of smokey whisky notes, some roast in the background, and a very light acidic note in the background. Smoke is strong in this one however. Flavour is quite sweet and completely different than the ones I had when it was younger. The Brett settled nicely into the background giving it more rounded, slightly acidic notes of red fruits. The whisky is overwhelming this beer in a nice way, balancing out the Brett perfectly. Way better than the ones I had from bottle and keg 9 months before. Awesome stuff.

Bottle at home. Black pour, thin tan head. Aroma is intense brett, iodine, peat, whisky, roasted malts and caramel. Flavor is quite bitter, slightly sour, bretty and heavily peated. Intense but still subtle. Beastly and likable.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2016 Zwart bier met fijne crmekleurige schuimkraag. Zwaar, donker, rokerig aroma. Leer, tabak, rook, hout. Volle bak turf in je mond. Vloeibaar kampvuur met hele lange gebrande, rokerige, nasmaak. Een complex bier die niet voor iedereen is weggelegd. Om cht op het gemak van te genieten.

Dark brown with a ring bubbly tan head. Aroma of peaty hospital infected tsarina esra. The good fudgey and chocolatey notes of the base beer are there but overpowered by the Scotch. The Brett is hardly there but comes across like a general light infection. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Light full bodied with soft carbonation. [18-08-2016]

300 ml bottle thanks to MrHangover. Black color with beige brown head. Malty aroma, smoked, peated, iodine, wood, vegetables (more in the taste). Sweet and bitter taste similar to aroma but not as good. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
