COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Marshmallow Stout.
“I’m terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought.”

This marshmallow porter has the classic roasty qualities of a proper dark ale, whilst the marshmallow gives it a smooth sweetness, both combining for a delightful, S’mores-like ale. A sweet treat for the cold winter nights.

Our first brew of this luxurious dark ale sold out in just 36 hours!

Pours black, topped with a medium sized beige head, nicely lasting. Mild chocolate and caramel with lots of sweet candy - marshmallows. Sweet candy start, some mild bitterness and a bit of roastiness - pretty gentle except the sweet candy feel in the start. A bit roasty in the aftertaste. Lighter body. Interesting marshmallow character all over it. A bit overly sweet but still decent.

Bottle from Oddbins Beer Shop, Blackheath. Black pour with a beige head. Aromas of coffee, definitely marshmallow, banana toffee, milk chocolate. Flavours of cola, vanilla, white bon bons, modicum of coffee, sweet marshmallow action. Bitter kick on the palate. Cloying sweetness in the finish. Odd brew, not my cup of tea.

They've called this a marshmallow porter, and it has those incredibly sweet sticky notes, whilst retaining quite a crisp mouthfeel. 330ml bottle from Cambridge Wine Merchants

Draft @ Brouwcafé de Molen. Pours a nice pithc black beer with creamy tanned head on top. Aroma has sweet notes of lactose and vanilla, slight chocolate as well are in there. Flavor is sweet and very full bodied. Full of lactose for shore, like drinking a nice milkshake, the vanilla marshmellow influences are shining in there, but there is also a faint disturbing prickly feeling on the tongue from some strange carbonation. Soft and full flavored, nice long in aftertaste, weird in mouthfeel. Decent.

Bov (13004) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - SEP 3, 2017
from CraftGallery - black beer with a dark beige foam left; aroma of ... marshmallows and red fruits, some sweetness, creamy palate, grainy and with a late bitterness; more marshmallow in a robust coffeish finish; solid carbonation

beer-yum (1827) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 14, 2017
Candy aroma in a black pour. Interesting sweet candy flavour profile is an excellent antidote to the currently fashionable sour brews. Nicely done - but not something I can see myself having another of.
