From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt. Breadish and dark malty. Sweet, roasted, toffee and breadish. Slight sweet caramelish. Dry, roasted, bitter and breadish roasted malty finish.

330ml bottle from Brewklopedia, Leicester. Dark brown with a possible hint of purple. It has a quickly dissipating beige head. I love the smell: gentle chocolate malt with porridge and slight hints of liquorice. Sweet taste at first, but it's well balanced by earthy hops providing a woody and almost vinous bitterness. The finish is much drier than the initial sip, laving hot fudge, salt liquorice and charcoal in the aftertaste. Thick, oily body with just enough carbonation to lift the mouthfeel. A winner in my book.

Tinaccio (453) - Milano, ITALY - JUL 19, 2017
330 ml bottle from London Brewers Market, Old Spitalfields Market, London, UK. It pours dark brown, with a small, off-white head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, caramel. Not so much. Taste is medium sweet. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is fine. Not horrible but one of the worst tried from this brewery.

Live at the brewery. CO2 but looks like nitro. Pours Guinness with a layer of fat bubbles above the foam. Scent is fairly neutral oatmeal Stout. Taste is dank, medium thick, and quite dry around 40 IBU on the finish. A bit sticky. Light notes of cocoa on the mouth. Very good.

olio (10408) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 24, 2017
33 cl bottle. Bottled on 12.04.2017. BBE 12.10.2018.
Pours deep dark red color with a large beige head. Oats are indeed evident and strong on the nose, toasted malts, pleasant citric hops fit here nicely, some faint spice notes. hints of vanilla. Flavor is sweet with vanilla and milky chocolate, mild malty bitterness is softened by the oats, cocoa powder leads to a short dry finish. Very pleasant and flavorful Stout, not too sweet, nice drinkability.

Close to black body with a very huge, fully lasting, light brown head that laces the glass well. Sweet, malty and strong aroma of dark roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Strong flavour of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and sweet dark berries. Moderate+ sweet taste with a light to moderate bitter finish. Medium body and smooth texture. Some problems with the carbonation – initially it’s almost flat, but after pouring the rest of the bottle extremely gently I managed to keep some of the bubbles in. They seem to be a bit short lived, though. Otherwise the mouthfeel is brilliant. Very drinkable, despite the sweetness and the lack of bitterness.

Bottle shared with Ferris @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque dark black color, medium sized beige head. Aroma is malts, floral. Hmm. Maybe slightly oatmeal. Taste malts, hops, oatmeal hmm not so much, body doesn’t suggest it either. Grassy hoppiness in there, slight roast, moderately bitter. Hmm ok but weird for a porter.
