Rumor has it this beer is the favorite of a former U.S. President. An IPA with big hops bitterness bumping against three varieties of 2 row barley malt goodness. A fan favorite.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear copper color with a medium thin bone white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of fruit, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of earthy hops, citrus and grainy malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a short fruity hop aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

on tap @ Diamond Bear / Little Rock AR --- Aroma of malt and citrus. Clear shining medium amber color, off-white head that stays at the rim, strips of lace. Taste is semi-sweet malt, medium carbonation, and bold hops in a finish that doesn’t dump the malt. A solid, reliable brew.

12 ounce bottle acquired by trade with martinvanbeer. Thanks! The beer is a hazy copper with a big head of white foam. Very good retention. The aroma has strong resinous and grassy notes. Plenty of herbal notes. The taste is mostly bitter. I find some sweetness is hinted at about mid palate. That actually reminds me a bit of maple syrup. Interesting. Medium body and softer carbonation. Sort of airy on the tongue. Decent beer.

Pours a copper color with a thin white head. Aroma is fruity hops and caramel. Flavor is fruity hops, caramel, and something creamy. Has a surprisingly smooth body for an IPA, with low bitterness, and surprising balance. Pretty good.

Aroma...lots of caramel and toffee, citrus. Smells great!!!...Appearance is amber red. It pours with an amazing thick and frothy head. Very nice!!...Taste, yeah, we flopped a bit there. It’s hoppy and bittersweet but more so bitter. It has a noticeable citrus in the taste, and that might make it be a tad too bitter, but still tastes pretty good....Mouthfeel is medium, not too dry. It does have a filmy taste that lingers throughout, weird but not bad....Overall, it’s really good. Better than what I expected. I wonder if Slick Willy himself tried it when the Clinton Library opened?

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle from BVery, poured into an English pint. Slightly hazy orange with small/medium beige head. Aroma is herbal hops, medium body, medium/light body, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is caramel malt, bread, and some herbal hops. Fresher would probably bump this up a couple notches.

Bottle hunted down for me by my parents - thanks! Clear rich reddish orange pour with a smaller head. Stale hops, spice, bread, and some pine. Would like to try fresher.

"Cascade citrusy hops semi a little muted. More biscuity malt than I like bit not too bad. But the orange and grapefruit hop notes are subdued, making this an average iPa."

Bottle pour dark copper with brown to amber hue. Nose sweet malt, slight floral and dank hop. Taste moderate bitter up front, slightly spicy, mid palate a little flat and watered down. Moderate bitter finish.
