Pinball (12404) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 22, 2017
bottle.
unclear brown, small offwhite to brown head.
Nice authentic balanced aroma of strong english ale, even with the faint cereral and raisins, weird hops and all. aroma hints of boozy barley wine but not so sweet, more nutty, with a faint whiff of dark fruits.. not bad..
flavor is malty, nutty, faint caramelly, really hard to describe, imagine a barley wine where all the sweetness have gone away. a little bit too boozy compared to the other flavors, but still a fairly elegant way to put 11% into a bottle wo it getting too crazy. palate is thick. aftertaste is kinda sweet with raisins and dark fruits. like a belgin quad, but totally without the crazy yeasty part.

Clear, deep mahogany colour, small and creamy tan head. Malty aroma, sweet syrup, grapes, little bit of hops, plenty of alcohol. Taste has light hoppy bitterness, long lasting warm aftertaste. Quite rich flavours. Medium body, soft carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Very nice.
