alexsdad06 (14949) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - FEB 16, 2020
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2020 Bottle (2007) via trade shared with BC back in the day, from notes (I really thought that I had rated this). Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized dark tan head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, dark chocolate, espresso, ash, molasses, earthy bitterness, great mouthfeel, a delightful old school imperial stout that I hope to revisit someday.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2020 27/IX/19 - on tap @ Borefts Day 1, BB: n/a - (2019-1496) Thanks to the international RateBeer Crew for sharing today's beers! Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, malty, some honey, very roasted, lovely. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: slightly sweet, lots of roasted malts, honey, caramel, lots of dark chocolate, very good. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, roasted, some alcohol, little oxidized, lovely beer! This does not disappoint!

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2019 Borefts 2019 day 1. 'Stormaktsporter 2019 - 9,2%'. Black with light tan head. Big sweet deep roasted chocolate malts. Malty and greasy like a sweaty beaver. Wet hairy pels. Full body and soft carbonation. Creamy and rich.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2019 Tap. Darkest brown color with beige head. Aroma is honey, chocolate. Taste is honey, chocolate, some gummibears even, light roast. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Interesting, but a bit weird. 8-4-7-4-15

Tap, one day later - I liked it a bit more, it was not as extremely sweet. In general, though, perhaps this beer needs some time. 8-4-8-4-16

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2019 Enjoyed several bottles, vintage 2007, in Copenhagen April 12, 2011. Pitch black pour with a tan head. Layers of complexity. An amazing and wonderful beer. I hope they begin releasing it again.
