Piwo czarno brazowe bez refleksow nalewa sie z obfita lekko bezowa drobnopecherzykowa piana. Palona kawa laczy sie z deserowa czekolada i karmelem. W smaku dosc wytrawne ale troche malo ciala i brakuje efektu wow. Wszystko jest OK i na swoim miejscu ale mnie nie zachwycilo.

Butelka 330ml (BB 17.05.2018). Brunatne prawie nieprzejrzyste z obfitą, beżową pianą. Aromat z nutami czekolady, zboża, przyjemny ale bez szału. W smaku wytrawne, nieco palone ale w odczucie czuć pustkę i jednowymiarowość plus srednia, popiolowa, zalegająca goryczka. Daje radę ale oczekiwania byly duzo wieksze.

Coffee, caramel, sulfur, chocolate in nose. Pours very dark brown with tall beige head. Taste is medium dry with coffee, chocolate, licorice, sulfur and caramel. Low bitter finish, average carbonation. Overall something went wrong. Infected?

How do you get Thisted Limfjords Porter to get any better? Well, I don't think you can. This was a nice try though. The black appearance with a super creamy light brown head looks pretty formidable, and the aroma of dark berries is amazing. But once we taste the beer, we can tell it still has that original saltiness and the rusty iron flavour and the liquorice that make it so spectacular, but this strong green vein is overwhelming. That taste of unripe coffee berries is cheap, too herbal and definitely off-putting. A major downgrader to what was supposed to be some kind of improved masterpiece.

33cl bb04/2018 tasting side-by-side with the aged original during Freiburg Deluge Tasting Aug2017. - Obviously the PoMo update of the original "extreme luxury beer" for North-Jutland blue collar workers. Flowery nose of rose petals on fresh dark organic ashes and chthonic roots, both charry and fresh: a Noma sort of take on Baltic Porter. Starts off light, whispy like a typical rich Mikkeller hop-infused porter, then takes up the Thisted ash and turns it into an overdrive roast, sharp and ashen. Remains drinkable with enough nuance of liquorice and hop fruit, with Mikkeller’s trademark lush gastronomic mouthfeel.

33 cl. bottle, bb 10/08/2018. Deep brown-black with a lasting thin disc of foam. Aroma is graham cracker, espresso, fig, dark toffee and a touch of licorice. Tastes of the same mix plus a bit of blackberry and a stronger licorice presence. Some dark chocolate and ash in the finish. Medium bodied with low-medium CO2 and a good balance.

Brown beer with chocolate-colored head. Aroma is roasted malt, slight dark chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, licorice, slight chocolate. Aftertaste is bitter licorice, dark chocolate. Full body. Light to medium sweet, medium bitterness. Excellent porter, drinkable, mild and not overroasted. Balanced, brilliant brew!
