The rarest heron in the world. Also the name of the rarest barrel aged beer we have ever made and bottled. An imperial stout aged for over 3 years in 25 year old bourbon barrels. We have never done it before, and may never again.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2019 Rami Rami is drinking an Ardea Insignis by Central Waters Brewing Company at Powiśle Zdominowany beczka taka waniliowa glownie, nieco samego tego bourbona, cialo niezle, slodycz, suszone owoce ciemne, kapka jakiejs przyprawowosci, ktora zostaje na jezyku i daje efekt wysuszania. Czekopumpernikel. Alko rozgrzewa. Klasa, ale zadna topka Rami Rami: Wgl z ta beczka to bylo tak, ze intensywna i fajowa zaraz po otwarciu. A doslownie minute pozniej sie ulotnila gdzies mocno... wina probkowania?

Daboch (1603) - Gdansk, POLAND - DEC 21, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 21, 2021 Wygląda jak typowy imperial stout. Super aromat, wanilia, toffi, pralinki, karmel, suszone owoce, wszystko solidnie polane bourbonem. W smaku dominują nuty palone, drewna, bourbonu. Trochę brakuje akcentów od kawy. Alkohol odczuwalny, lekko drapie w podniebienie

dzudohonor (478) - POLAND - FEB 2, 2019
Piwo i pięknym aromacie, którego smak zabił alkohol i popsuł pijemność z picia.

Bottle shared at Not Breaking The Bake’s Tasting. Black with a ring beige head. Aroma of big barrel oak, booze, caramel, vanilla and toffee. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with a fair amount of alcohol warmth in the finish and soft carbonation. A bit too boozy this one.

Big thanks to Bobbo for el bottelo AGAIN! Pours opaque black with a medium brown head which recedes to a ring. Aroma is fudge, caramel, some oak. Taste is fudge, caramel, cocoa, vanilla, a hint of oak, bourbon remnants, slight raisin notes. Bourbon is noticeable but shines well. Thick body with an oily mouthfeel.

Clownoisseur (531) - Buchanan, Michigan, USA - AUG 13, 2017
Pour at Great Taste of the Midwest 2017. The last keg ever, Central Waters says. Appears as murky black, somewhat translucent with cola colored hues. Small brown splotchy cap...light carbonation provides a few bubbles. Aromas of light anise, wet oak, slight alcohol sting, light chocolate, light roasted malt. Taste has a bit of an oxidized malt note, light soy sauce sweetness, anise, and a big bourbon presence...although, not as hot as the nose suggested. Mouthfeel is oily and a tad thinner than I was hoping for, given the ABV. All in all a very nice beer and happy to have tried it!

kraddel (10779) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - APR 29, 2017
UPDATED: JUN 30, 2018 Bottle at the radikal whale slaying. Thnx to Nikos !!! Pours black, small grey head fades rather fast. Smell is intense, bit boozy, oak, definately bourbon. Also rich dark malts underneath. Taste is full, thick, very intense bourbon. Notes of vanilla. intense oak. Rich dark grainy notes. Some chocolate. Shame it’s soo boozy, as that overtakes a lot of the taste. Very nice imperial stout . Rerate, second try now. Even more boozy than the last time, so it seems. Booze takes over so much of the taste, it's getting hard to really enjoy this beer other than to have had the tick. Lowering the score from 4.3, 5o meet up somewhere halfway between both samples and experiences.
