COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tangerine de Brettaville celebrates the flavors of citrus in beer. We start by brewing a funky brettanomyces fermented base beer in large oak foeders, where the brett yeast creates farmhouse flavors and aromas. We layer on California-grown tangerines and oranges for big citrus flavors, balancing tropical peel aromas and a hint of citrus bitterness. Finally, we finish the beer with a generous dry hop of Citra, adding one more layer of citrus aroma to create a complex offering. Pair with peking duck, orange chicken or walnut shrimp.

Hazy golden hue under a thin foamy white head. Big barnyard funky aroma that’s got clementine peel and apricot and buggy wildness. Big complex flavor that’s pale and wheaty with a dab of tartness and apricots and orange rind and earthy wild Brett funk. Interesting and tasty and citric.

Bottle - another ripper Almanac Sour - the only reason I’ve deducted a couple of points is the tangerine isn’t assertive enough and I’d love to be able to taste more as described.

Pale golden-straw with a fast-fading head. The nosenis bright and tart. Orange peel and lactic tartness with a bit of flinty stone fruit on the back. There’s a bit of bright fruit and some great flintiness. As itnwarms, the tartness softened and the fruit and funk came up. Pretty bright and zesty.
