NOTE: All blends belong under this entry.

Bought @ Lambik-o-Droom. This particular Cuvée Armand & Gaston is way different than the regular one. Looks totally different because of the dark malt used in this blend. Also the taste really deviates from the original A&G. So fresh and crisp. Nose is very funky, horse blanket, a tad salty and citric. Taste is so fresh, nice full sour and wild yeast. Very well balanced. Citrus, horse blanket. Velvet and creamy palate. There is a tad sweetness in the back of the taste. Aftertaste lingers a long time. Top! I'm really curious how this will age...

First Rating 4.5. A 2015 bottle. Schenkt zeer mooi voor een Geuze. Mooie kraag, mooie amberkleur. Aroma gist en goudbloem. Zeer uitgebalanceerde soepele smaak: leder, goudbloem, hooi, gist alles gepast zonder valse noten. Licht wrange afdronk met fijn fluwelen mondgevoel. Topper! Second Rating A 2016-2017 bottle. 21/11/2016 bottled. Drank it 9/9/2017. Bought at the Lambik-O-Droom 3 fonteinen. So fresh and crisp. Nose is very funky, horse blanket, a tad salty and citric. Taste is so fresh, nice full sour and wild yeast. Very well balanced. Citrus, horse blanket. Velvet and creamy palate.

Aromat delikatny, wygląd ok, a w smaku kwaśno i owocowo. Jak dla mnie szału nie ma.

05-JAN-2018, bottle @Ulkløbben meeting @Henrik, from Boxbeers. Hazy orange with almost not head. Aroma is funk and fruit. Taste is Green apples, loads of funk, brett, extreme gun powder. Very dry, lively carbonation. Very nice.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2018 Smells very funky and musty, lots of blue cheese, intense. Very unique carbonation, just melts and bubbles into your tongue. Intensely funky and dry flavour, slightly woody, a bit of a puckering finish. Lemon peels, citrus up front, but lots of gentle complex acidity. Awesome.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2018 Blend 18, Bottle (from UJH). Not sure why it has separate entry, but it was a little bit different than the other versions. Liked it more than batch 21, but less than blend no. 2. It is clearly better than the first batch A&G 375 ml, but worse than the big bottle from the same season (the best A&G I have tried to date). I haven't tried the magnum, but it seems that genrally I prefer the blends in the bigger bottle.

Blend 21, Bottle (from finestbelgianbeers.com). Not sure why it has separate entry, but it was a little bit different than the other versions. For me it was bit more floral and acidic and lemony. I actually prefered blend 2 and 18 to this when we did vertical of A&G. It is better than the first batch A&G 375 ml, but worse than the big bottle from the same season. Hell, even the regular geuze is better than this IMO.

0.375 bottle, 2016 batch (from koht, Tallinn). Pours dark golden with whiteish head. Aroma is sour, fruity, funky, slight sweetness. Flavor is sour, fruits, wheat, funk, lemon, acidic notes. Carbonation is rather high. Overall: good, but i actually prefer regular oude geuze. Rating: 8:3:7:4:14=3.6
0.75l 2016 blend (shared by raskolnikov & cru, huge thanks!). Aroma is very bretty, funky, citrus, apricots. Flavor is sour, fruits, funk, lemon, brett, some bitterness. Finish is sour and dry, lemon. Overall: great, a lot better than the small bottle. Totally different beer. If you had the small one, you must taste the big one to get what the fuzz is really about!

Oh hey this is now a new entry? OK. I’ll just quickly rate it so I won’t forget to properly rate it later with friends who might not have this specific blend. Anyway, again pretty explosive corks when opening, at least in two of the 375 bottles, shot one in a tree... Hazy golden with white head, looks maybe slightly darker than other A&G blends, but they all have slightly different colors. Funk, hay, light leaves, quite fruity with lemon and green apple. Under medium sweet and sour with a leafy bitter finish. Medium bodied with lovely feel and spritzy carbonation, less than expected after the dangerous cannonball corks. Amazing, one of my favorite beers. Oh yeah, and there’s no detectable honey in this. Zero.

37.5 cl bottle from 07/10/2015 drank right after the release at home head to head with the latest batch of oude gueuze. BEWARE when opening this bottle as it’s extremely carbonated and as soon as the cage is loosened the cork and bottle will separate violently. I was prepared for this so I was trying to hold the cork but then the bottle almost shot away...

Anyway, it pours hazy orange dark golden with big off white head that lasts for a while, unlike the Oude Gueuze where the head disappears immediately. Lots of lemon and green apple, cobwebs, funk, grassy, peach, kumquat, lemon peel, sour grains, mineral. It’s quite fruity, almost sharp, with soft green grass notes. Way less leaves and dank cellar funk than the regular gueuze, but I think I prefer this fruityness more. Over medium sour and light bitter. Medium bodied with lots of carbonation. Really good, the only downside is the seriously dangerous bottles.

07-10-2015 small bottle drank 18th June 2017. Still very carbonated but at least it’s not a danger to the ceiling anymore... Very nice again, less green apple and lemon and more funk now. I think this is developing very nicely! Didn’t have a lot of this batch so should try and save some for later. Yum!
