(375ml bottle shared @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen, Oct 26/18) Pours black with a small whitish head. Notes of burnt sugars, semi-sweet chocolate, leathery wet wood, bourbon, light vanilla, dry bitter nutty roast, hint of fruit. Sweet up front but finishes dry and somewhat mineral with burnt, nutty notes and a short finish with some light alcohol and bourbon tones. Somewhat thin in the mouth, softly carbonated. Solid stuff though not as substantial a feel as I would prefer to go with the flavour.

Bottle shared@Himmeriget Stoutfest 2, Copenhagen - (why doesn't this have Jackie O in the beer name like the alias?) black pour with beige head. Sweet and roasted malty with opulent chocolate notes, some treacle and caramel sweetness, medium to full bodied, touch of vanilla, resonating bourbon soaked wooden notes into the dark sweet malty close. Lovely drop.

Bottle thanks to the Rockstar! A pure black hue with a small white head that dies down. A big sweet nose, bourbon, vanilla and roast. Sweet, vanilla, cocoa, bourbon, a bit of heat, nutty, heavy roast, some dark fruit. Very good.

7/18/2016 -- from notes: 12.7oz bottle, from Dutch's. Enjoyed from my Sahm Hamburg goblet at 2am (couldn't sleep so decided to hop out of bed and crack this..). Wow. Awesome brown sugar, vanilla. Marshmallow. Some dark chocolate, bourbon-soaked cake. Very dark red brown color. Appears black in the glass. Thin khaki head, leaving decent ridges and bits of lace. Moderate-plus bitter taste, moderate to bigger sweet, but not at all cloying. Mild bite, some pleasant alcohol warmth on the end. Medium-bigger body, kind of creamy. Light carbonation. Mild slick texture. Absolutely fantastic. It's been a while since I had a beer this good. Wonderful nose, and wonderful, long aftertaste. Absolutely worth the $12, what a treat, in fact I think I'd like a couple more please..

375 mL bottle poured. Much thanks to Jeremy for sending this. Dark, thick, chocolate brown pour. Bourbon heavy on aroma and flavor. Some dark chocolate and cherry. Wish I got more walnut out of this. I'm sure it's there, but a massive bourbon and cherry fruit covers. Solid sipper.

Bottle poured into a wineglass showing coffee brown translucent with no head. The nose shows moderately intense milk chocolate with a bourbon background. The palate is lightly carbonated and light bodied. Moderately intense flavours of milk chocolate with a strong bourbon background and alcoholic spiciness.

Bottle received in a trade with JStax, thanks Jeremy! This is a 2016 vintage. Consumed at cellar temperature. Pitch black color, Nice viscosity when I swirl it around the snifter. Aroma has a mellow bourbon with some dark chocolate.

The flavor is smooth with a great amount of roast, rich chocolate base. The nuts come out slightly. The bourbon is definitely noticeable but does not give a ABV burn. Great full, lightly oily body/ mouthfeel. Very, very good.

Bottle in Seattle. Thanks Chris. Thin soft tan foam, dark heavy brown. Clear edged. Rich fruity chocolate nose, mocha and bitter grain. Lots of cinnamon. Body is a touch thin, but the alcohol richness is well balanced. Creamy barrel, lovely clean flavors. Chocolate and cinnamon, Raisin Bran sweetness. Fantastic flavor, bitter crushed cocoa and coffee beans. Touch of astringent alcohol by the finish. Lovely.
