Drank on tap at the Alehouse Palmhof, Zurich. Delicious black ipa, not too gassy. 77ships (11381) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JUN 15, 2017
Thank you tderoeck! Sampled draft @ VCBF 2017. Bark brown to black, creamy mocha head. Nose is nice cheesy mocha head, good pine resin & citrus hop. Taste is bitter roast, cheesy, grapefruit peel, herbal roots, chocolate, cacao, bitter herbs finish, doesn’t come entirely together but overall quite a nice one. Lightly grainy, bitter hops body. Donkerbruin tot zwart bier met beige schuimkraag. Geur: geroosterde mout, hoppig, bessen, koffie.
On tap at VCBF17, Belgium.
Nose is dark chocolate, citrus.
Body is pitch black, head is medium, beige, frothy, average lasting, excellent lacing.
Aroma is citrus, dark chocolate, black tea.
Light sweet, medium to heavy roasty bitter.
Finish is long lasting hoppy and roasty bitter.
Medium bitter, dry texture, soft carbonation.
Quite easy dessertish beer, very tasty, bit overhopped but I like it, great one. Maarten1993 (1373) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 11, 2017
Drank at VCBF 10-06-17. Very drinkable black IPA. A bit thin for me though.
