Aroma leads with very intense sour lime, reminiscent of key lime pie. Flavor is much the same, a complex blend of freshly zested limes, lactic sourness, and light graininess. *Contains sea salt, lime zest & ale yeast.

Tangy lime flavor, maybe a bit of a lactic acid taste, fairly light body. Not overly salty compared to other beers in the style. Pretty nice version, somewhat similar to the Dogfish Head offering in the same style.

Bottle. Nose sour lactic and citrus. Pour dim, pale yellow tending toward grey (looks pretty dingy, actually) with a rocky bright white head. Taste tart but not puckering, heavy full body with slightly below-average carbonation, lemon-lime lactic, no real malt, no hops or bitterness, no mineral. Bright and zesty, certainly hits the summer spot, undecided about other seasons. [2018.08.02: 2.9]

Lemon-lime aroma. Clear yellow, medium head. Tart lime. Light body, easy carbonation. One note, but quite well done.

Finhead (1945) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - AUG 1, 2018
Hazy, yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has strong lime along with some wheat. It has a light body with somewhat watery texture and average carbonation. The taste is tart and salty with a mouth-watery finish.

Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can, best by November 13, 2018, poured into a cup. Clear golden with medium white head. Aroma is lime, medium/light body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is lime and brine.

Clear bright straw hue under a thick foamy white head. Nose has some tart lime rind aromas with a little blonde wheaty base malts. Crisp dry flavor that’s a little tart and fruity with lime pulp and rind, not as sour as actual lime but a little juicy and suprisingly citric bitter. A little thin on the end but it’s zesty and limey throughout.

Pours clear golden with full, white head. Aroma is heavy citrus, breadiness and salt. Taste is light caramel and sour lime, working to breadiness and sea salt. Finish is smooth citrus. A very refreshing gose.

On tap at Beerhead. Pours a hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Big lime on the nose, soft grain and a bit of musk. Medium bodied, bright lime, nice bright salinity with a good amount of tartness. Bright and briney, long gentle acid, tart and saline. Really nice.

Victory delivers a fine light sour with this lime focused draft. Whatever voodoo they used in the recipe comes out like a margarita chased by soda water. I’ll have to hope it was not a one off and that future iterations make their way across the PA border.

Aroma / Appearance - A golden transparent base glimmers and shines. Lemons, fresh squeezed lime, sea salt, and soft sourness bring to mind a margarita with a bit more tartness in its core.

Flavor / Palate - Lemon lime soda (either 7UP or Sprite) briefly cleans the palate. Laying the foundation, it allows for waves of sweet lime, sea salt, and mild vinegar to tickle the tongue. The finish remains as dry as a competent champagne. Refreshing and simple, it stays focused and doesn’t stray from its core goal as a drinkable light sour.

Tap. Pours hazy gold. Aroma and flavor are lime peel/zest, pale malt, light lactic acid, floral notes, and faint toast. Medium body.
