Tap at Blackwell Opening. Pours flat black. Aroma is lightly roasted, vinegary, brett, sour. Body is light, very sour, little tart, fizzy carbonation. Some fruit, no roast aromas. Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, tart, dark malt, wine - red wine, wood, alcohol, light burnt. Flavor is moderate sweet and acidic with a long duration, tart, red wine, wood, dark malt, roasted, acetone notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is lively.

- almost black beer, hazy; poor head retention; well-integrated woody notes of Pinot noir, gently roasted, black chocolate; fairly sour, moderate malt backbone, the alcohol is well-hidden; aftertaste of vinegar, dry with more notes of chocolate and cherry
enjoyed on brewery premise during a tasting: dark without any head, citrus nose with some solvent and a hint of roast, quite a lot of wood but no perceptible vanilla, mouth is fairly neutral with the right amount of sour to work out with the wood. finish is not sharp but rather mellow sweetness combined with the perfect amount of acid. Brown to black beer with a brown head that disappears within seconds.
Nose of funk, tart fruit, cheese, roast, some red fruit, slight hint of brown sugars, wood, apples, manure...
Flavour is quite tart, light tart fruity, tart yeasty and a little dryness. Funky and herbal. Some lacto tones, specially in the beginning. Little vinous notes.
Tart fruity funky aftertaste.
Low carbo, watery tart mouthfeel, more than medium bodied.
