COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Raspberry lambic was once a rarity and only produced for a few weeks during the summer. Frank Boon was the first brewer to again prepare a raspberry lambic in the summer of 1976. More than 300 grams per liter of fresh raspberries give Framboise Boon a fresh fruity taste. The young lambic supports the flavor. But this is very much about raspberries, not the lambic. Of course we do not use artificial flavorings, only real raspberries. Boon Framboise has an alcohol volume of 5%. Drink it when it is young.

dukeandduke (564) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 18, 2019
UPDATED: APR 18, 2019 4/17/19 (Chicago): 2016 375 ML bottle of Framboise Boon purchased 4/8/19 for $8.99 plus tax at Beer on the Wall in Park Ridge. 5.0% alcohol, batch 73709 best before August 31, '2019, two pours into a snifter glass. Dark rose colour, light off-white tan lacing, leaves generous lacing, heavy carbonation which holds well. Very sweet raspberry aroma, backed by tart cherry aroma. Taste mirrors aroma, raspberry taste strongest, taste more tart than aroma, very well blended. Light texture, carbonation holds well, clean crisp and refreshing going down. Overall excellent offering, this vintage held up well over time. I look forward to the next pour!
