COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Raspberry lambic was once a rarity and only produced for a few weeks during the summer. Frank Boon was the first brewer to again prepare a raspberry lambic in the summer of 1976. More than 300 grams per liter of fresh raspberries give Framboise Boon a fresh fruity taste. The young lambic supports the flavor. But this is very much about raspberries, not the lambic. Of course we do not use artificial flavorings, only real raspberries. Boon Framboise has an alcohol volume of 5%. Drink it when it is young.

2015 Bottle at beermoth. Nose is huge raspberry jam, strawberry, cherry. Palate is sweet and sour raspberry jam, cherry, some wood. Very nice, could need a little bit more oomph though.

2014 vintage. Big Raspberry aroma. Pour looks a little muddy and it's a dark red, nice head that dissipates. Taste is raspberry, a lot of raspberry but not tart and sharp, this is quite manageable ad without pucker. It's really quite nice.

Caged corked bottle, vintage 2012 - pours a clear ruby-brown with a smallish cap that goes immediately to a surface lace. Aromas of raspberry, vanilla, wood, and funky sourness. Very sharp on the palate good for cutting through oily cream cheeses - flavor is deeply fruity, tart, earthy-funk...goes very dry and puckering in the finish. Enjoyed this greatly with a tray of rich holiday canapés.

LazyPyro (1923) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 28, 2017
375ml bottle, 2015 vintage. Pours a deep reddish colour with a thin quickly dissipating pink head. Aroma of light sweet and mildly sour raspberries. Taste of sweet and sour raspberries, mild farmhouse notes, fairly dry, crisp. Light body, average carbonation. Easy drinking lambic, refreshing.

2013 bottle. Dark, ruddy brown pour with a 1/2 finger creamy to soapy white head and some pitch dark chunky sediment. Aroma is sweet, fleshy raspberry, earth, cooked lemon a hint of vinegar and a hint of cracker. Flavor is raspberry, light toffee, cracker, light vinegar, toast, and a hint of mint and sweet tobacco. Light to medium body, light, somewhat sharp carbonation. Pretty good, but a little dull.

2012 bottle rated last January, best before end 2017 - Pours deep red and has a pleasant raspberry aroma with a little funk. It tastes sweet, fruity, and lightly tart. Good raspberry flavor. It's a bit thin. I wonder if that's age related. Still fairly good but I'm be curious to try a younger bottle.

murzyn (670) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - NOV 28, 2017
Barwa czerwona, piana niewielka. Aromat stajnia, konik, maliny, truskawki. W smaku malinowo gorzkie, trochę kwaśne. Spoko pifko.
