One of Michael Jackson’s 500 Classic Brews. Carnegie Porter was brewed for the first time in 1836 and tastes the same today as it did then. Carnegie Porter has a creamy head with a scent of coffee. Its sweet and wellrounded flavor is balanced by the bitterness of the hops. Storage helps the flavor mature and enhances its harmony.

Bottle. A nice foam. Not quite dark enough for my taste. Taste is nice and bitter but not very rich or full. A nice porter.

wombat23 (1416) - Texas, USA - APR 23, 2017
11.2 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with a small beige head that quickly dissipates within the first minute and then leaves a thin film for the duration. Aroma is malty with some chocolate notes. Taste is roasted malt, dark fruits, coffee and chocolate, vinous notes, a bit of ash. Decent stuff.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Dark mahogany, beige head. Dark malts, some dark bread and vegetables. Sweet dark sugars, some sweet dark bread, light husky bitterness. A bit on the sweet side, not bad overall.

Echon (535) - Århus, DENMARK - MAR 18, 2017
Ruddy brown. Malty chocolate and caramel, and a mild, sweetish taste that finishes dry and bitter. Medium body. Overall, a decent porter. Clean and malty, but not that tasty.

Flaska 2010. Bra skum. Har klarat sig rätt bra. Mjuk och rund. Lite söt förstås.
