Kriek Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh cherries (25%) are used. Kriek Boon is slightly sweet, with the surprising natural fragrance of sourcherries and almonds. With only 4% of alcohol it is a perfect summer beer.

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2017 Donkerrood, babyroze schuimkraag. Fruit-zoetig aroma. Kersen, aardbei, snoepjes. Zoet maar net niet té zoet. Fijn zuurtje in de neus en in de mond. Licht plakkerige afdronk, Veel fruit ook. Mooie kriek.

Drank with Patrick, Rik and Lennart @ Piet Huisman 28-7-17. Very sweet/fruity, not that sour. Too bad. Didn’t like it.

Awesome with a big steak strait off the BBQ. Better than any wine when having red meat.

Rami Rami is drinking a Kriek Boon (2014) by Brouwerij Boon at Jabeerwocky Syropek z biedronki... "pyszotka"... co za fatalna pomylka przy zamawianiu, brak slowa oude...

2014 vintage. Thanks to Neil for this one. Deep cherry red beer with small head. Aroma of cherry drops and light funk. Taste is sweetish, cherry lips, light funk and fruity. Very good.

Bottle 2015. Clear ruby red pour with minimal pink head. Aroma has sweet cherry sauce. Taste is very sweet. Lots of sweetness and minimal wild yeasty notes. Very much similar to a sweet wine. Well composed but very sweet. Maybe I do not understand the low ABV kriek’s

Rubinowej barwy. Klarowne ale nieprzejżyste. Piana słaba, szybko znika. W aromacie wiśnie, trochę nut winnych. Średnia intensywność. W smaku mocno owocowe. Kweśne, bardzo przyjemne. Pijalne!

Wow my first Kriek beer, and I’m liking it a lot. obviously it tastes and smells of cherries but is sour as well. I could drink a lot of this must get some more soon

Bought a couple of 11.2oz bottles and chilled them. Smell is definitely cherries, and these cherries are sour. Taste is very similar to smell, but is lighter and more natural cherry taste (and less sugar) than other versions of Kriek. Beer feels light, yet refreshing, and leaves a pleasant cherry aftertaste. Much more refined than say, Lindemans Kriek. A very good example of a Lambic beer.
