Bottled 330ml (KCM Puuvilla, BB 03/2019)Marduk (9214) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 17, 2018
Golden-orange colour, small white head. Strong dry hay, skunky aroma (thanks green bottle!). Light-bodied, a bit fizzy. Pale malty, a bit sweetish flavour. Neutral clean flavour. Aroma is terrible, I wonder what it is after standing in the light for another 11 months.
330ml bottle (K-Market, Levi). Hazy yellow colour. Medium size, beige head, stays. Sweet, citrus, caramel in aroma. Sweet, citrus, papery, cardboard in taste. Sweet and caramel in aftertaste. Bland. Marstonlad (1040) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 11, 2018
Bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Joint tasting with Flying Dog Doggie Style Pale Ale. Pours cloudy amber with a huge white head with lots of lacing, very different to Doggie Style that is rustier in color and has a nearly non-existant head. The aroma features lemon and grain; has some hoppiness but gives fairly malty, even pilsnery, overall vibes. Doggie Style is much hoppier. Taste is dryish, light to medium bitter; hoppiness combines with pale maltiness, creating a pilsnery mix. Seems to be much influenced by the Saaz hops. Very different to Doggie Style that emphasizes American hops with some sweetish maltiness appearing initially as well. The palate is light to medium-bodied and smooth, not much difference between the two here. All in all, this did not seem a strictly an American IPA in style. Very drinkable though, and fared well in comparison with a much more illustrious opponent. rosenbergh (12161) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 29, 2017
330 ml bottle. BB 03/04/18. (Alko) Tampere, Finland.
Slightly cloudy golden color with a small white head.
Dry grassy and fruity hoppy aroma with mild bitterness and dry grainy maltiness.
The flavor is dry... with some hoppy bitterness and malt. Easy. Strong carbonation. olio (10917) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 28, 2017
33 cl bottle.
Pours clear pale golden color with a large white head. Grassy hops on the nose, hay and faint cardboard notes, distant malty notes. Flavor is metallic and grassy, subtle hop bitterness, some orange and grain. Quite bulky feel here.
