courtesy of Jasmina Slacanin - almost black in colour and with a moderate foam left; roasted aroma dominated by notes of coffee and vanilla; moderate malt backbone and fairly sweet; the aftertaste turned in direction of chocolate with lot of vanilla reminiscence

Saeglopur (1929) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - OCT 15, 2016
330 ml bottle from Tribaun, bb 21. Nov 2016.
Dark brown body, with a medium, creamy, moderately lacing, beige head.
Aroma of roast, coffee, sweet chocolate, some dark fruits, some vanilla.
Taste follows this, with cocoa and some interesting ripe banana notes.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes smooth, medium roasty, a bit wooden, with coffee, cocoa, some sweet fruits again.

Really nice. Quite unique Stout, a bit sweeter, with interesting fruit notes, while there are also the typical roast notes. Smooth and well balanced. Another characterful beer by this new brewery.

Werckmeister (2560) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - OCT 11, 2016
0,33l flip-top bottle at home courtesy of Saeglopur, big thanks for this one. BB 21.11.2016. black color, small coffee-colored head. rather noisy carbonation. smells acidic, licorice, earthy, some caramel, leathery, rather creamy & nice smell. light to medium body, medium carbonation, soft mouthfeel. tastes of caramel, spices, light licorice, earthy, a bit brown sugary, lightly glueish. finishes lightly sweet and lightly roasted with some earthy, licorice and caramel notes. overall decent one, liked the smell quite a bit better than the taste, taste was a bit on the sweet side. overall good but there is room for improvement (imo anyway).
