UPDATED: DEC 11, 2019 I decided to pair this brew with some Boston cream pie. It didn’t disappoint. The head had an interestingly roasted quality to it that was absolutely delicious. I always say that dark beers have some extremely tasty heads. Gonzo tastes of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, vanilla & creamy goodness. Sure it’s pretty bitter, but the creamy body balances it out excellently. Also, I drank this amazing beer whilst sitting outside on a cold and windy December afternoon here in south Louisiana. I also played some dungeon synth to further the chilly ambiance of this experience. Yes, I am a complete nerd. This is an excellent brew for cold weather. I highly recommend bringing this to that family Christmas function you’re not thrilled to be attending. This should help get you through it! buddybutch (231) - Nantes, FRANCE - NOV 24, 2019

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2019 Very strong potent flavors of chocolate and coffee. Strong alcohol as you might expect given the 9.2% ABV. It tastes more like stout maybe that is why it is called Imperial Porter. Boozy chocolate coffee aftertaste. LocalAromas14 (22) - GREECE - OCT 29, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 29, 2019 Very complex taste and very intense. Dark chocolate with every sip and very strong whiskey aftertaste. Due to high ABV you won't notice the IBUs. kaserov (2321) - Oviedo, SPAIN - SEP 23, 2019
UPDATED: SEP 23, 2019 Bottle. BB: 13/02/2020. Black. Brown head, two fingers, good retention, good lacing. Some brown sediment. Difficult to see the carbonation through the darkness. Quite fizzy palate. Oily but there's too much carbonation for me. Aroma is ash, charcoal, tar, hints of hops giving slightly citric impressions at first. Lots of ash, charcoal and tar in mouth. Some liquorice. Even some cola hints in the first few sips. Hops are present in the middle of the sip and in the finish. Some caramel sweetness but pretty restrained. Medium bitterness at the end with soft alcohol. Bitterness stays in mouth for a while with ash notes. Not sure about this one. It's not bad but there's nothing here that invites me to try again. Two things: I don't know if the age is a problem with this beer; it seems rather industrial, and this is happening to me recently with almost each beer from this brewery.
